Thats a cool idea Hayz.......I have mine done already and have been wondering about the something blue. I might "borrow" your idea.
I bought a dress at a thrift shop and Im going to have it altered.....thats my something old.
I got an opal necklace for Christmas that I have been saving and thats my something new.
Dont have a clue on the something borrowed.......unless its your idea, then I kill 2 birds with 1 stone. ;)

That is cool! :bbmrgreen: I have other piercings (my nose and my tongue and 8 gage in my ear lobes) and I want to get my navel done too, but like martysgurl said, I need a flatter belly first ;) So did it hurt bad there?
I heard that the blue in the 'something blue' is suppose to mean loyalty and constancy. For you other ladies that haven't picked the something blue ... You could tie blue ribbon around the bouquet, wear a blue trim garter, blue undies or paint your toes blue  (if you are wearing close toe shoes of course ;))

Mine didnt really hurt, it was a little tender to the touch for the first couple of days, but if my jeans or something rubbed on it.....ouch!!!...I have my toungue pierced, but dont wear a bar in it. I put it in every week or so just to see if it will go in and it does, everytime, with no problem. I wear it every now and then but not very often.

I'm going to find a 'J' to pin onto my bouquet, for my brother. I'll see if I can find one with blue crystals.
I'm gonna play hijacker..
What's your...
Old?
New?
Borrowed?
Blue?
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe?
My answers:
Old? I'm going to see if I can get my Grandmother's wedding ring.
New? My dress!!
Borrowed? I'm going to see if I can borrow some pearls from someone.
Blue? The crystal 'J', or I might get some blue ribbon stitched to my hem.
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe? A penny instead, with Carlo's birth year.

The belly ring looks great. I always wanted one but never got it, now I'm too fat. (No one would want to see that!) Just make sure to keep it VERY clean and dry. I have had friends get them. The piercing itself doesn't hurt too bad but if it get infected it is miserable.
Here is my stuff:
old: my mom's engagement ring turned into a necklace
new: dress, veil, tiara, shoes, ect
borrowed: still working on this
blue: undies

Old? My dress designer is sewing in a pocket in the inside of my dress and I will put a picture of my late grandparents (so they can walk me down the aisle).
New? My dress
Borrowed? Not sure yet
Blue? Not sure yet (but my bridesmaids are wearing blue, does that count?)
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe? Umm... to be honest I have no idea what this is.

Hijacker!
Anyways...
Old? My engagement ring; it was Jason's great grandmother's.
New? My diamond earrings that Jason got me for Valentine's Day (we had V-Day a little early; not enough time on the weekday)
Borrowed? My mother's pearl necklace that my father gave her just before he passed away.
Blue? I made my own garter belts and they're made out of blue fabric.
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe? My mother is very much into our Scottish heritage so that was the first thing she bought for the wedding; a sixpence for my shoe (which meant I had to wear shoes...sometimes she evil and conniving! :))
Love the belly button idea! Thought about doing the same with my tongue ring, but my sister got me a barbell with gold sparkles in it for my tongue for my birthday because I saw it and wanted it for the wedding.

Old? not sure yet ( I have a necklace that Nicholas gave me just before we broke up the first time around, it is kind of big, it is a crystal heart, it hangs in my car, if it fits with the dress I might use that.)
New? my dress and boots
Borrowed? my sisters veil if I decide to use it if not I am not sure
Blue? my garter is white with a little blue sparlked horse shoe ( fits in with the cowboy theme :D ) it came with another garter to throw and this one has a little bow with a blue jewel in the center of it
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe? no ( what is this all about anyway?)
Old Thinking of a nice old hankerchief. Like a white one with lace on it or something like that.
New My dress, jewellery, shoes, wedding ring
Borrowed Maybe the hankie off Mum, otherwise not too sure.
Blue Navel barbell, bridesmaid dresses, and maybe blue ribbon on the bouquet
Are you going to put a sixpence in your shoe? I think I'll pass on this
And as for the question "Did it hurt much?"
It didn't hurt as bad as I thought it would when it was put in, but I know every time I accidently bump it or if I'm bending over and my tummy scrunches up too much.

My dress is new...sadly this isn't a tradition that I have thought much about...I'll worry about it later.
