Hi. Does anyone know where I can aisle runners that are not white and not very expensive. I checked e-bay and they all look so plain to me. I would like silver, or maybe red if I could get it the "right red". I am having my wedding in a hall and I really need something to dress up the floors down the aisle.

If you can't find a colored one you could look into one of those painted ones or maybe a nice lace one.

I've not seen any painted ones. Do you know where I could find painted ones? How do painted ones look? I really would like some type of fabric and not paint. I may just buy fabric and make it myself. I don't think that would be very hard.

I would reccomend getting some heavy canvas and using a matte spraypaint.
The canvas won't get caught up in everyone's feet, and the spraypaint will give you uniform coverage. Plus, if you can find/make a stencil, you could add an embellishment or mongram to the runner and really make it look nice.
Good luck!

This is an awesome idea, guys! I've been thinking about getting an aisle runner but didn't want to pay out the wazoo for just a plain white one. I think I'll have to look into doing that!

Yeah I found one company that sold monogrammed aisle runners and I don't remember exactly what they costed, but that were way out of my budget.

Worse comes to worse, you could get a plain on and then dress it up with flower petals...my florist sells a large bag of mixed rose petals for only $25. I know it's a little bit expensive, but we're going to use it as our aisle runner and a little bit in the hall on the gift table and the cake table. The florist says that there's enough flower petals in their bag to carpet the length of aisle we're going to have.

I don't know if this would work, but it's an idea. Depending on what color you were looking for you could buy a white one and dye it whatever color you like. Start with just a little bit of color and then slowly add more so that you don't make it darker then you'd like on the first try.
(I just found out that our church has an aisle runner that we can use. I'll have to think on that....)

Thanks for all the great ideas guys. The lace aisle runners are really pretty. I think I'll have to just think about it some more. I'm really can't decide what route I want to go at the moment.
