tsk tsk tsk don't waste your time LOL The Canadians aka les Habs are one of the original 6. They have won the most Stanley Cups and they rock because they are from Montreal.

BTW - DH isn't into watching sports but he's planning to watch the SB tonight. I asked him to explain football to me LOL .... this should be interesting! :rofl:

This game might be a HUGE historical event today...The Miami Dolphins did not lose a game, but this is a few games more the Pats are going for!!! It will be fun! Do you get our commercials???

No, the American commercials are blocked and we see canadian Commercials instead.

They'll be posted online soon after they air for us to see.

I don't watch hockey for the fighting .... in fact, the fights scare the beejeebees out of me.

Hockey is just a Canadian thing LOL Even if some of us don't want it, most all of us have played at least street hockey. My brother used to put me in nets and take shots on me in the driveway LOL I also played ringuette (same type of game as hockey but instead of a puck and a bladed stick, it's a ring and a straight stick), when I was a kid.

Nice.....I don't like the fighting either...I think it is DUMB! I so don't understand why they let them fight so much or why it is kind of a trademark of Hockey you know!

Hockey players get all beat up, lose their teeth, etc. and then they FIGHT! DUMB!

Soccer is really big here too. When the world cup was on, the flags were waving out the cars, people honking their horns and you could hear cheers coming from the various houses and apartments in the area. The same thing happens during the hockey playoffs. It's absolutely nuts.

Hockey is pretty big around here because we have the sharks just north of us in San Jose. Soccer is also pretty big because of the number of Hispanic people around here. Football is probably the biggest sport though.

I love this superbowl stuff...it is giving me SO much time to catch up on my posting here!! Charlie says I would be "unsocial" if I went into the other room so I just planted my butt on the couch and type away!! That way I am still in the room and pretending to pay attention!!:D

Actually, it kind of sucked for me that there was a Super Bowl tonight.. You see, the grocery store is usually busiest on Sunday.. It was also double coupons.. AND the super bowl.. I'm surprised i got out on time! Worked my butt off! lol

I actually really like football! And I was SOOOOO wanting the Giants to win! I LOVE the Manning family, ecspecially Peyton, so by default I love Eli too lol. A part of me feels bad for Brady and the Patriots, but they have been accused multiple times of cheating, so really I don't feel that bad. I was SO freakin excited when they Giants got that last TD though! Best upset EVER!!

I have to say, despite the fact that I was rooting for the Patriots (I lived just outside of Boston for 5.5 years) I'm glad that the Giants ultimately got the win. They simply played better football, and that last touchdown run was absolutely fantastic. Now Eli Manning has a ring just like his bro!

I know, and he may finally be out of Peyton's shadow. I felt bad for Peyton, though. They kept showing him and I'm sure he was happy for his bro but it's hard knowing you could've been there yourself, ya know? They are both so freakin good though!
