View Full Version : So I believe I've narrowed down my gown, and my MoH's dress....

I've been so back and forth on my gown... I'm still looking here and there, but I'm pretty much 99.9% sold on the very, very first gown I looked at. It's simple, a flattering neckline for me, and goes with the island/beach feel we're going for...

However, just last night I ran across this one (very similar in silhouette, same line)

And then for my Matron of Honor..... (in a shade of coral/melon); I love that it's nearly identical to the first dress I had chosen/fallen in love with.

All very pretty! I love the first gown, is it a "dressy" gown?

i love the first gown, especially for your theme. just a suggestion (and feel free to ignore it!) would you consider having your MOH's gown a tea length instead of as long as yours? i'm just thinking since they are so similar, you want to stand out a bit. you will, just by being the bride of course, but i think maybe a shorter length for her dress would be something to think about.

either way, i love the first dress! good luck

Actually yes, we (my MoH and I) talked about that last night, about having it nipped off to tea length, maybe slightly shorter in front, for exactly that reason. :D

I love their dresses! I really wanted to wear one too but unfortunately I didn't have the chest to pull any of them off :(

I love the first dress! And I think making the MOH tea length would be perfect.

See, I would think (due to the lightweight fabrics and less structured nature of the gowns in that line) that being smaller chested would be GREAT for those dresses (I'm actually concerned I'm TOO chesty for it -- but I'll strap myself in and hope for the best ;) )

A good seamstress/alterations shop can sew in a molded bra cup into most any gown, and they can also add "cutlets" (the little silicone breast pads, to give ya a bit of extra "oomph." ).
