YAY! That's awsome! Must be nice to have that lifted from your shoulders!

I should be getting that stuff done ASAP! We've got the same wedding date so i really need to be jumping on that if you've already got them ordered!
I went looking at jewellery and shoes yesterday. I know what i want for flowers but we're making them ourselves because they are fairly simple. And the cake.... i need to get the number from my FMiL so i can book that.
EEK! :bbeek:

EEK! :bbeek:We're doing the flowers DIY too. I'm doing hand tied bouquets and on each table I'm doing a dozen roses. Nothing crazy. I'm going to have 2 dozen in my bouquet, the BM's are going to have one dozen. I'm doing the bouts myself, and I'm going to look into getting the corsages done by a florist. I don't know if I can pull those off. I went with www.pickapetal.com and they had everything. I talked to the people with the company, and they said that if you're ordering as far in advance as I am, you just pick a date on the little drop down thing for delivery, and then you write in the notes section that you need it delivered on X day.

I feel so good. We're going to look at the location today. Yipee!!

Awsome! My FSiL/MOH has done flowers for a couple of weddings so she's pretty good at it. She made beautiful corsages for her mom's wedding.

Have a good time looking at the location. Knowing thats all taken care of has been really nice. We've got a meeting set up in March to go and sample the food and get ideas for the room layout.

That's good. At least you're on the way. This time last week I didn't have much done. I'm lucky, though. FFIL can marry people, My mom is a hairdresser with 20+ years experience, my best friend is a great makeup artist, and one of my best friends (she would have been in the wedding) is a photography student. So, we have so much taken care of by friends and family.

It was hard for me to even think of decorations until I had my sites picked out. BUT......as soon as we did pick them out, I coud see exactly how i wanted them. Ive changed up a couple of things, but it was because I came across things I liked better.

Yeah, I knew right off the bat what I wanted for the decorations. When we go look at the place, I'll know where to tweak.

:bbmad: Ugh! It doesn't look like the weather is going to change. Sheez. Now I have to reschedule the visit to the Country Club. I don't want to get the baby out in the muck...

I guess we'll go on Monday. :(

Im sorry you have to postpone your visit. I dont blame you for not wanting to get him out in this. Mine are big now and I STILL dont like getting them out in bad weather.

Its been raining here all day too, must be a Texas thang! Its gotten cold in the last couple of hours too. When I left for work it wasnt this cold. Now im freezing!!!

:bblol: Now I have that song stuck in my head ;)

As for the whether ... I don't like getting myself out when it is yucky

Carlo called telling me to reschedule the visit. So, I checked on the weather channel's website, and went outside, and the clouds are going to clear by 3:00. It's not even cold. It's like 65.

Carlo just doesn't want to go. I called him back, telling him what I found out about the weather, and he said that he just doesn't want to go out there when he gets off work. Carlo doesn't want to do ANYTHING when he gets off other than eat, sleep, and watch TV.

So, I don't know if I should make him go (since I'll have to wait until Monday) or just put it off and risk him inventing another reason why we'll have to put it off. He's just a procrastinator.

What should I do? :bbconfused:

Men  Is your date likely to get booked before Monday? Will it be that big of a deal if you wait? Or you could just go without him if he doesn't want to go ... does he have to go with you? Maybe you can just go when he gets off work and leave the baby with him then?

:goodluck:

I would do that, but I don't have a driver's lisence. So, yeah, if he doesn't go, then I have to find a ride.

My mom already paid the deposit for the venue, though. The guy said that in the (unlikely) event that we don't like it, we can get a refund. I just really want to see it!!

Carlo is just a procrastinator. If we were going to look at something that he was interested in, he would go in a heartbeat. That's why I'm mad. I think I'm just going to make him go. It's not really that fair that he always wants to put off what I need/want to do.

Like, for instance, we were supposed to get Elias weighed and measured about two weeks ago. Have we? No, because he doesn't want to have to go. I'm getting my lisence, though, so I can go wherever I need to. It sucks having to depend on someone who is not dependable.

Thats what I was going to suggest....you go by yourself. If you like it THEN you can reschedule a time for him to go back with you. If you DONT like it then you have all weekend to look for something else.

I've seen the other rooms, and think that they're beautiful. Plus, the pastry chef who is making our cake said that her husband used to work there and that the room is the prettiest of all three.

I doubt that I won't like it (which is why mom paid the deposit) I just REALLY want to go look at it.

I just REALLY want to go look at it.

I understand.....It will feel more like youve DONE something. I bought all kinds of stuff this weekend, and it wasnt until I actually put a centerpiece together that I felt like i had done something.

Yep. I just want this done before the weekend! That's all. I just know that he'll procrastinate again if I let him. I'm sure that it's going to be like pulling teeth to get him into the bakery to sign the contract.

Hmm... Maybe I can make him a deal. If we go to the bakery today, we can put off going to the club until monday?

I am sooo glad I am not the only one whose man puts things off. I think Brian procrastinates procrastinating!!!!

Well, we're going to the Club on Tuesday since it's below 60 outside. I don't want the baby out in this weather. When it was 70, that's cool, but it's like, 55 and dropping.

So, we ARE going by the bakery to sign the contract (and have a bite to eat) and it's going to be awesome. This place has SUCH good food.

Well, I'm going go eat now!! Ciao ladies!

Good luck with dealing with your procrastinating honey ;) Men just don't understand sometimes. I am sure it will work out.
