Eloping To Vegas - Journal - 02.16.08

15 more days to go to and currently in a crunch situation but I have been able to maintain my cool. We've been planning a VACATION to Vegas for 3 months now. Then all of a sudden he proposes and have been planning the wedding for 2 weeks and a total of 4 weeks I have to plan a whole wedding. :grinhappy:

For our vacation we had already booked our flights and hotel @ the Venetian Hotel. With our vacation we booked and paid for a helicopter ride to the grand canyon and picnic at the basin. Tickets to Zoomanity, reservations to Emeril's restaurant (had to book 1 month in advance). Besides all that, we have to get married LOL

I just finished making the reservation for the ceremony location at the Mandalay Bay Hotel @ their shark reef. There were a few other locations but this seem to be the best one. We had a choice of a ceremony on a gondola ride, a wedding chapel or a drive through ceremony LOL Jacob liked the idea he thought it would be fun.

My bouquet will consist 6 ivory roses in baby breath, long stem, with an ivory ribbon. We got the DVD upgrade package, meaning we will have it on DVD and could make copies for family and friends. We didnt upgrade on the pictures but it came with 20 4X6 photos, We are prolly going to buy the negatives from the photographer so we could make our own prints.

They provide a limo for us to go to the court house a day before and get the marriage license. I also booked the salon at the Mandalay Bay hotel for the day of my wedding at 7:15am appointment to style my hair and do my makeup. The I got to go down the hall by 8am and ceremony starts at 9am.

This weekend I will be going to get my dress and kinda excited. I got 4 different shops to go to before I give up and end up at Davids bridal and just picking out a simple dress.

I attached a few of the dresses I want to look at or something similar. :D I'll let you guys know how it turns out Monday :p

My boss doesn't like my FH, I don't really care. He could shove it you know where. He's been saying my FH just wants to marry me to get a green card. What a horrible thing to say to someone. He just doesn't want me to get married so I will quit and all that. He thinks if I get married Jacob will support me and let me stay home and be one of those stay at home moms. Jacob doesn't need a green card he has a work visa for 15 years and when that is up he could just renew it. The only thing he would need a green card for is if he wanted to travel outside the US but he could also go get a travel visa.

My mom loves him, for xmas he remodeled her bathroom. :D

Well 9 more days to go and everything is all set. I seem pretty calm and I like this feeling lol I've seen the shows where the bride goes crazy days before the wedding. I hope I don't get that way definitely not me selo.

So I got my dress Saturday and the seamstress brought it home to hem the dress and fit the strap. I was surprised I fit in a size 8! I was thinking I wore a size 12 or something. Here's a blurry pic my MOH took while I was trying it on at the store. I got the dress in Ivory like my bouquet.

These are the shoes I got but they haven't arrived yet. They ship out today so hopefully I get them before I leave. If not I have a backup pair but the backup pair is in white.

So I still have to go buy 2 more dresses for the traditional wedding for my family and friends. I need to go buy an Ao Dai, which is a Vietnamese ceremony dress. Jacob is actually excited about wearing his traditional wear.

Also I have to get a ballroom type wedding dress for pictures and such. The type of dress I got for Vegas I would wear at the reception but I need something more elegant for the ceremony and pictures. I found a few off ebay that were really nice buy kind of wary about it shipping from china and all that stuff.

Jacob went for his tux fitting which took all of 15 minutes lol I was thinking "thats it?" when it took me to plan a whole day to 4 different places for my dress, luckily I found my dress at the first shop and it was the first one I tried on and it was in my size. :hare:

I was laying in bed last night thinking how lucky I am to have him in my life. He is sweet, nice, understanding and I just love him to death.

Well back from vegas tired and sick but happy that I married my best friend. The ceremony couldnt have been any better. At first I was nervous, getting hair and makeup done and waiting but once I started walking down the aisle and saw him everything felt so warm and comfy.

Thank you guys! Well its been 10 days since we been married. Nothing really different except we cuddle more. LOL But I think he is overwhelmed with the second wedding planning since we found out that our guest list went from 50 to 150. His side guest 10 my side 140 plus.

I am making all of the favors, Save the dates, programs, invitations etc etc. I never knew how expensive favors could get. The box kit for 50 favors was $24 but a bag of those favors only filled up 6 boxes. So far I've gone through 8 bags and only have done 50 of them. And those favors are like $6 a bag :/

My husband's been taking really good care of me since I've been sick. He cooks and cleans. Even his mom stopped by with some soup for me. Sometimes I think about how lucky I am to have such a great guy. I always want to make him happy. When we are sleeping and I think about it I just hold him closer cause he is so cuddly.

He made me lunch today for work. Salad with cucumbers, egg, cheese, ham and oil & vinegar. With a mandarin orange fruit cup, water and a juice. hmm Kool-Aid jammers are my favorite.

3 more days and it would be a month that we are married. To me it doesn't really feel any different. We still do the crazy spontaneous things as we did before.

I reminisce about the days we were still dating, when we first met, our first kiss, our first date, how I wasn't interested in him at first.

Funny we met off of myspace, I was just browsing my friends friends. At the time I was riding a sport bike and just added people who lived in atlanta who rode a bike and BAM Jacob was one of them.

After a few days he sent me a message (which I still keep) His words were "Do I know you?" I replied no I was just adding people who ride bikes and maybe one day I might ride with. Then he replied oh ok and we stop talking for maybe 2 weeks.

Then he asks me one day for my AIM and we started talking on AIM for another 2 weeks. Not really interested in him lol Then he asks me for my number and called me a few days later. When he told me he lived with his mom i was like um what a loser! LOL

We stopped talking for like a month, he told me I didnt seem interested and at the time I wasnt. LOL so he was right hehehe then one day out of the blue he was online and I was online and it was a nice sunny day I AIM'd him and asked what he was doing and blah blah blah blah and he asked me if I wanted to go to starbucks with him.

I said why not and he got the directions to my place. I didnt want him to know which apartment I am in so I told him to meet me in the front. I was in the office playing on the computer showing my neighbor what he looked like. So I heard a vroom vroom and walk outside. As I was walking out he takes off his helmet and OMG it was like love at first sight. I was so smitten with him ever since that.

Then when he talked with his czech accent it made him more sexy! I so fell for him that day. And ever since then we have been together. For the first 3 weeks of dating we saw each other every single day and we went out and did stuff or stayed in a watched TV every single day. That was the most magical 3 weeks. He would text me during the day to see what I was doing and I would get sooooo excited about his text messages.

He still does it to this day, he texts me everyday! sometimes brings me flowers for no reason.

Last night I took some robitessin so I could sleep. I was about to be knocked out by the meds when he came and put coco butter on my nose and lips because I had got wind burn on my lips and my nose had been hurting cause i blow my nose a lot from being sick. It was so cute!! I was drowsy last night but I remember this morning!

I love jacob soo MUCH!! I am so happy and so lucky!! :flower:
