View Full Version : Centerpiece Extras Besides Candles

Most of the centerpiece examples I've seen out there include flowers in a vase plus a few candles around it on the table. Unfortunately, I'm having a middle of the day, outdoor wedding where I don't think candles would really be appropriate.

So far my centerpieces are bi-color pink and ivory roses in mirrored mosaic vases on a round mirror set in a silver charger. To spice it up, I'm considering doing half the tables with glass urns (instead of centerpiece previously mentioned) containing limes (colors are pink and green). Can anyone think of any "extras" to go with? I'm afraid the table will appear bare because the plates and glasses will be on the buffet.

Any suggestions would be great! :D

I like the idea of stemmed roses in your color, just laying on the table maybe near your centerpiece.. or one on either side... or even just rose petals. The contrast can be beautiful!

OO, I like the limes idea!!! You could also put peelings (cut like swirled or something) of the limes around it.

I also had my plates and such at the buffet, but I made like "newsletters" of us and put them on everyone's place setting

what color are your table covers?

you could add color by using more that one color, or a runner down the center as well

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions! This gives me some good ideas to add to my existing centerpieces!

You could go with some colored or clear stones or gems, scattered on the table. You could also have some reception programs or menus on the table, weighted down by an inexpensive favor like the Hershey's Kiss Rosebud favor. Instead of red cellophane wrap for the bud, you could use pinks and even lime greens, to match your bouquets/lime centerpieces.

www.orientaltrading.com (http://www.orientaltrading.com) they have rose petals in all different colors. they have pink and a lime green color too. and they are reasonable priced. also what about wraping candies or even tealights or votives as favors in green or pink tulle and tie opposite color ribbon around top?
