I just ran across votive candels w/glass container even for $4.99 for 12 @ Big Lots....If you have one near by, check it out. Big Lots is a close out, over stock type of store so grab them when you can...I priced the same things at Michaels, which is right next door to the Big Lots and they were $8.99/12. What we have planned is to get the stickers printed with our name and wedding date to wrap around them in OR wrap them in tulle with ribbon and a charm...placing them on the tables for our guests to take as a mementos...
I also saw another good idea which is not too expensive...take a spoon (plastic), put a few hershey kisses in them wrap it up with tulle and tie with bow....get preprinted tags that say...."A Spoonful of Kisses" OR get luggage tags at craft store and write it nicely....with your names and wedding date.

Yeah, you can find some good deals at Big Lots, the one close to me is closing so the deals are even better. I do hate shopping there though because everything is always a wreck and the is no customer service.
I like the candle idea, I have done that before ;)

I am doing those for my wedding I am helping with next month. I found this little saying to go along with them ... "We thank you for coming with this spoonful of kisses, to bless our beginning as Mr. and Mrs." Or you could rearange it like this ... "We thank you for coming to bless our beginning, here is a spoonful of kisses from the new Mr. and Mrs." I can't deside which I like better.
Welcome to the boards :D

I got mine votives w/candles at Michaels for either $3.99 or $4.99 for 12. I caught them on sale. We have a Michales right next to a Big Lots too in Tyler. Our Michales has them for regularly $7.99 but every 2-3 weeks they have them marked down.
I am wrapping half of mine in tulle and the other half just have a ribbon wrapped around them with a bow that has our names and date on them. I got mine with the intention of doing the labels myself, but I couldnt ever get them to print right on my computer. The personalized ribbon works just fine!

Thought I'd stick in my two cents...I like the first one better.
The spoon idea is cute! I bet it would look really great with the silver plastic spoons they have now. Or you could do the spoon in the color of your wedding and then the tulle in the secondary color...bet that would be pretty.
The favors sound really beautiful...to save some money, you can get some clear labels and print them up yourself. It looks just as good!
Our favors were really inexpensive too. We paid about $7 for the origami paper and then we paid about $5 for the tissue paper (which I think will give us more than enough). The spool of ribbon is $3 and then we're going to get the m&ms after Easter when they're on clearance, so those shouldn't be too expensive either. We made little origami boxes and we're going to make little bouches of the m&ms wrapped in the tissue paper (which is the opalescent plasticy stuff, not the paper tissue paper) and tie with a ribbon. I think it should be pretty.

I think I was leaning towards the first one, and I just asked the bride and she likes that one best too, thanks :)
