OK ladies ... after I read one of smileyone2002's posts, I thought of another question.
IMHO - Guy's with accents are just plain sexy.
What accent makes you weak in the knees? Oh and do you think the reverse is true? Are our accents are sexy to foreigners?
Me? I am a sucker for a Scottish accent. I keep trying to get DH to fake it but he doesn't think I am serious

lol about trying to get him to fake it. I don't know which makes me weak in the knees. I just love listening to them. Most American's make fun of Canadians because they always say "ay" or something like that and there are some other words they make fun of.

It's eh, EH!!! :) and I don't think I say aboooot (about) or oooot (out). I invite you to skype with me sometime, to find out for sure LOL
I was thinking more about outside North America. Do you think Scottish women find American (or Canadian) accents sexy?

I personally think australian accents are incredibly sexy. I also think some country accents can be sexy...it's funny b/c just within Kentucky there are quite a few accents. I remember one time I was talkin to this guy from southern KY and when I talked to him for the first time I told him he sounded cute b/c he was really country, and he thought I sounded like a city girl, even though I can def. have a southern twang.

We had to watch a movie in a linguistics class I took about the accents in the US. It was pretty interesting. When Robert travelled through the south with his family they stopped in Winona, Mississippi. The chick they talked to in a Sonic said they "talked funny".

I used to work with a girl from Wisconsin and certain words had accents, but overall she didn't really have a strong accent. It's mainly just being able to tell they aren't from Louisville. Not to mention if they say Louisville, it's a dead give away b/c we say it totally different. That's how you can tell a true Louisvillian, or should I say Loo-a-vull-ian. Weird, I know!

Hugh has a really deep, calm & soothing voice. It's one of the first things I fell in love with. He sings baritone and I love to lay my head on his chest & listen LOL

That just sounds wonderful. :) Michael is from the Houston area. He's been away from there for about 10 years now, but he still has a soft accent. When we visit Texas it gets thicker. When he puts his cowboy hat on and peeks at me from under the brim with those blue eyes...Oh Lord Have Mercy! (But that's a whole other thread) :)

I don't know if i get hot off accents.. =/ lol, i do love them so though.. Whenever someone comes in work (I'm a cashier) with an accent i ask 'where are you from???' cuz i'm nosey.. OR if they are speaking a dif language i ask 'what are you speaking??' =D People are usually really nice about it, too..
Well, cept my step 'mum'. >.< Lady at a restaurant told her she had a nice accent.. She replied all snotty 'you do, too!' Shes English, BTW. I was so embarrassed to be seen with her. D=
I love English accents. The way they talk is just so cool.
When I lived in KS, I got a lot of grief about my accent. It got where I wouldn't even say b-o-a-t. I always spelled it out. LOL

Being from the deep south, you'd think I would have a much stronger accent. Fortunately, I don't. LOL I have a friend in NYC, and whenever we visit, people there are always surprised to hear I'm from Georgia.
I love British and Australian accents. Totally hot!

Gee that's toss up between Scottish and English for me. I love them both.
I have a true southern accent (and Elizabeth can testify to this) and have had many people over the phone tell me they could talk for hours. Now whether this is because they like the accent or because they are making fun of it, well who knows? LOL.

This is my faaaaaaaavorite accent, though....though I don't find it hot. I just LOVE listening to it. I have friends from Wisconsin and I make them say "boat" and "remote" and "bag" all the time. LOL
One time, I followed a couple around the flower gardens because they were from the north and I was just in awe of their voices going back and forth! :D

I'm from the south and don't have much of an accent. People are always shocked to hear that I'm from Texas.

I had this professor that, quoted from the course webpage, "did her undergraduate degree and teacher's diploma at the University of Natal in South Africa. She did her Masters degree in English under J. M. Coetzee at the University of Cape Town before going to Stanford, California to do her Masters and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature. She taught for four years at the University of Houston before moving to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Fall 1997."
Anyway, I certainly wouldn't say I was hot for her accent, but the combination of living so many places made her accent SO interesting to listen to!!
As for any hot accents, I gotta say Welsh. Something about a Welsh guy hehe.
