i told my family i would make them duck..... hello i dont know how to make it!! so i was looking for recipes but have no idea what tastes good, so i was wondering if some of you who like this and know how to make it and it tastes good if i could have your recipe. keep in mind this would be my first time so really easy step by step instructions would be easy lol and the less work the better lol

did i mention please?? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!

woo hooo only the best recipe site ever! I love that place. I have it set as a favorite and I have a tab that takes me right to it at the top of my web browser :)

LOL - How did you end up volunteering to make something you don't know how or have never done before :p

I have never had duck and couldn't begin to tell you how to do it or what is good ;)

4 1/2 lbs duck (http://www.recipezaar.com/library/getentry.zsp?id=238), frozen 1/2 cup soy sauce (http://www.recipezaar.com/library/getentry.zsp?id=473) 3 tablespoons ground ginger (http://www.recipezaar.com/library/getentry.zsp?id=166)




Partly thaw duck, pry open cavity and remove as much fat as possible.
Rub with some soy and ginger and thaw completely.
Place in deep casserole (dutch oven).
Add remaining soy and ginger.
Add water to cover duck and bring to a boil.
Simmer 1 hour then drain.
(Liquid can be defatted and used as stock).
Place duck on rack and roast at 450 for 1/2 hour until crisp.
plus i love ginger. im going to have roated asparagus and carrots in a butter and sweet sauce, and maybe some chef salad, and wine for everybody but me and the kids lol

ummm i dont know lol i eat duck and like the taste but have never made it, something inside me just said duck and my mom was excited lol so now im going to make it lol

Ditto :) I submitted a few recipes there a long time ago (like when I had time to cook LOL) and every now and then, I get an email telling me that someone else has rated it favourably.

It's great for diet restricted recipes too.

I've never had it either.
