Flip Flops

my dress came in this past weekend! YAH FOR THAT!!!

However when I told my mom and my FMIL that I was wearing flip flops they were not happy.

I am almost always in flip flops (even in the winter) or barefoot. AND we are getting married outside. They said that people will be able to see my feet... They both kept bringing in shoes with a big heals and very strappy. (which you can see my feet in strappy sandles when I walk too! grrrrr......

Am I being dumb?...... :bbcry: Super sad face..... (you can really tell that today is going to be one of those days) Sorry for the ranting post......

I said it before ..... wear whatever makes you comfortable. If your mom & FMIL like heals, let them wear the 5" stilettos :)

I am a firm believer that you can have cute shoes & be comfortable. I don't think that strappy, sparkly, shoes are the only cute wedding shoes.

Having everyone comfortable was high on my list of priorities. I am wearing all white Chuck Taylor Converse Leather Hi-tops with green laces. You can see pix in my journal if you want. My bridesmaids are wearing the same kind, only all black & canvas with the same green laces.

It is going to be March and probably chilly, possilbly even some snow. I don't have to worry cuz I know they will all be warm and comfortable. I have been to far too many weddings where all the bridesmaids were in uncomfortable heels and they walked funny, and complained, and kept taking their shoes off any chance they could, and kept looking for a place to sit and by the dance they were all barefoot for the rest of the night.

So I say if you want flips flops. Wear them! My Mom is totally against my shoes choice. She even said she'd take me out and buy me whatever pair of shoes I wanted as long as they had some heel and were 'normal wedding shoes'. I refused and I think she's finally getting the hint.

If you are wearing a long, floor length dress no one will see much of your feet anyway; and if they do, who cares! I think some cute white flip flops would be super cute and add some personality too. Besides, it is fairly common to wear sandals in an outdoor wedding these days ;)

I absolutely hate to wear heels and will avoid them when at all possible ;)

Be comfortable!! Wear Flip FLop...I did and loved every moment of it!!!!!

I love my flip flops...I will wear out a pair like nobody's business...have you thought about an embellished pair with crystals or jewels, something like that to class them up? Might be an option. Just a thought...

They also sell the flip flops with heels or a wedge type...

Ha... me too.. I wear flip flops all times of the year... I even sneak them in at work : )

I am going to wear my heels and once I get tired of them... my feet will be relaxing in some comfy flip flops...


I think you should wear them... you could get some really jazzy ones too : )

Hey, there's absolutely nothing wrong with flip flops! Whatever makes you comfortable is what matters. (heck, I'll be wearing slippers!)

I would still go for the flip-flops! That is what I am going to do....it is your day not theirs! I coldnt do the highheels at a wedding anyways, I would fall...I just know I would!
