Here's my dilemma. As much as I would love to wear some 3" tall sexy stilettos on my wedding day, my fiance is only about 2" taller than me. So, I was checking my options as far as flats go, and I wasn't seeing much that I liked. But then I saw these:

1958

1959

I LOVE the idea of being barefoot, but I don't think it fits with my theme at all (Winter themed, indoors at night). I mean, part of me says 'Hey, how often are people actually going to see my feet? Maybe during the 'Garder Tossing' ritual?' But this is by far the cutest idea that I've seen so far that won't make me tower over my FH. What do you guys think?

I agree how often do people see your feet. And added bonus your feet will be comfotable all night, and you won't get blisters.

I have often recommended those exact same "sandals" to other brides. had my dress been long I would have worn those in a heartbeat. I love them.

My Mom just told me that she finds them horribly unattractive and thinks I should wear ankle boots since it will be the dead of winter (WTF?! Even though I won't have to set foot outside of our venue). She said the barefoot sandals 'remind her of Roman sandals', so she doesn't like them. GRRRRRR!!!!!

I would just be afraid that you would be stepping on "things" you might not want to, like in the bathroom, or if someone spilled punch or food and you didnt see it.

Ankle boots????? Does that even go with your theme, your dress style etc????

yeah...NO!!!!

Do what you want...I would just personally want to wear some sort of shoe...How bad would it stink to step on glass, cut your foot and bleed all over your dress...OR worse end up needing to get stitches on your wedding night!

To be honest I could see those more at a beach wedding, or something more spring / summer. Even with only being indoors there are things you could step on, things that could happen. If you did go with them I'd say be very careful.

As to the appearance, I had a pair when I was younger. I think they are adorable and am not a big fan of shoes myself. But what's a girl to do?

Okay.. are we talking about actual bare feet, or barefoot sandals? I was at an outdoor fair last summer and they are like flip-flops, but have a sticky bottom you place your foot on and no toe strap... I wouldn't recommend going barefoot! But the barefoot sandals would be a good idea if you can find them... I'm corn-fused!

i think these would be great for a beach wedding and if you wanted to wear these during the reception, maybe, however, i think for the ceeremony and stuff, some sort of shoe is better. but for the record, i love them

Oh those are adorable. I have the same problem, except for I'm taller than my FH. If you look Here (http://forums.onewed.com/showthread.php?t=13079) there are a lot of flat foot shoe ideas if you want to have something on your feet.

Those are cute. I think wear whatever no one ever see your shoes. Another comfortable flat alternative is those slipper shoes, that look like ballet slippers.

I love this sort of thing and think it is great for an outdoor garden or beach wedding. Not sure it would be fitting for an indoor winter theme wedding.

Me; I would be cold and worried about stepping on things all night.

But that is just my opinion; do what YOU want and what you feel comfortable with :)

Saw a post about my sandals so I thought I'd offer a bit more information. There is something that you can wear with barefoot sandals for the bottom of your foot. I think another person posted something about them earlier, but referred to them as barefoot sandals instead of their correct name, which is "topless sandals". Search google and you'll find a ton of sites. They're flat and stick to the bottom of your feet only. Many people do wear topless sandals in conjunction with barefoot sandals. The only real problem I see with them, and why I haven't carried them on my site, is that you really can't choose the color. You're sort of stuck with what you get. It's too bad they don't make a plain white one or you'd be able to find them on my site too! Hope this helps those of you who want to wear the barefoot sandals but still want something under your foot.
