So me and my bms found some really cute (and cheap ) dresses on ebay, but they're from China. I was just wondering if anyone has boughten clothes from any of these chinese ebayers? We're affraid that they're going to fit small because, not trying to be rude in any way but, chinese people are usually tiny boned ....

also, are there any import laws w/ buying goods and having them shipped to Canada? Like duties or anything???
thanks,:puppy: Maggie:bunny:

How long have they been in business? What is their feedback? What is the percentage? Have they been the sellers for all of that feedback? You can click the feedback by seller and buyer. Are they are power seller? What is their return policy? If you are not comfortable checking out this info PM me the link and I will give you my opinion!

As for the fit of the dress, I would ask them a question about the fit of the dresses. Generally, they are pretty good about answering questions. If they have been selling for a long time and have a good rep they generally will answer questions honestly!

Good luck

I buy off Ebay all the time. My mom ordered a dress of Ebay from China and she loves it, but it was a bit too curvy, like, not an average dress. So she has to get it altered in order to wear it.

Yeah; what she said ;)

I have bought many things off eBay. But personally I would be weary of these chinease dress shops (eBay or not) just because it is an important purchase and they are so far away and you can't be properly fitted and such.

But if you are confident in the seller and get all the details and order in enough time for any set backs then I guess it could work. I think a couple of people here have ordered gowns this way; though maybe not through eBay.

I can answer this question since I get supplies in from the states and abroad. As long as the company/individual sends the parcel via their postal service, you should not be charged any duties or taxes, but know that it could happen.

If the company or individual uses a courier company to ship (ie FEDEX, UPS, PURO, DHL etc.) you WILL be dinged for brokerage charges from the courier company (sometimes when it is delivered and sometimes after the fact). I will not buy from anyone who will not ship via the post office.
