Alright, I'm 5'11 and some change, my fiancee is just barely 5'11. I need some flat footed, white shoes. Comfy, but elegant looking. I'd even do flip flops, but I prefer a girly looking and lacy.. not like, lace, but stringy I guess. I really like something like this, but flat footed. I love the criss cross up the ankle look, or something similar: (sorry the pic is so big). Everywhere I look, there's always a heel. The only flat footed shoes I've found are ballet shoes, or fully enclosed ones, neither of which interests me to go with my dress!!!

Did you do a search on zappos.com? They have a pretty wide variety of shoes, and you might find something you like. I found these flats that have the criss-crossy ankle strap, but I didn't know if the rest of the shoe was too casual for you or not: http://www.zappos.com/n/p/dp/23352865/c/10153.html

With your dress will anyone really see your shoes? If not I would just wear those cute flip flops posted in the earlier post, then you are for sure going to be comfortable.

The first ones are super cute; I wonder if they would be comfy though.

The last ones are more my style though :D

My hubby and I are about the same height too; but we are more like 5'6 ;)

Yeah, unfortunately, I'm afraid so :urgh: I've been searching for months off and on.

"glass" shoes... like the jellies? I prefer the ballet slipper look to the jellies. If I find some nice white flip flops without a platform or heel I'd probably go there before I'd go with jellies. Any flip flop recommendations? :purplex:

I didn't have a problem with the heels because am fairly short 5' 3" but it was the prices that were ridiculous. So I went to payless and bought a pair of white satin wedding shoes for $14.49 they usually go for $37.99 but it was on sale. I then went to the bridal stores took picture of the design I liked. Then I went to Michaels and bought some crystals and add it on to the shoes.

My friend say I am crazy to buy the shoe for $89.00 because she could get it cheaper. But when I showed her the receipts and told her what I did she was so impressed. And you cant tell the difference. So you might want to try this idea.

These are my shoes. They will have clover satin ribbon laces.

The bridesmaids will have these with the same clover satin ribbon laces. Their dresses are black pick up skirt dresses (81123 from Davids Bridal) They will have a clover sash around their waist as well.

I chose these shoes because the wedding is March 28th in Minnesota. It will still be cold and could have snow. I wanted the bridesmaids and myself to be comfortable and warm. Plus they express my own personal style more than fancy heels.

I am so excited to wear them.

I didn't want a lot of beading and such, but you could totally adorn them and make them fancier. I got them from zappos.com and they came overnight. I love them. They are true to size and super comfy!

Those are awsome! Thank you! I will look at the site and see what she's got over there :) I love the idea of making them myself, the trick is just finding inexpensive, plain white flip flops!
