Hi, my wedding is July 26, 2008. It is going to be on Thompson Island, and island right off of Boston. I am wearing Maggie Sottero Brittanya and I am not sure of what kind of veil to wear or what kind of tiara! I want either fingertip or catherdra length veil, I am thinking fingertip would be better since i am going to be outdoors... Any ideas on styles for either? I want to look nice, but not too gotti since my dress has lots of detail and some sparkle I don't want to have too much with my veil and tiara. I am so unsure of what to get! Help please!

I would have to agree on a finger tip veil. I would suggest trying your dress on with different veils and to see what looks best. I would suggest a tiara with rinestones or crystals. I think that would look best. What color is your dress??

What about a very plain a simple one...if your dress is very detailed you do not want to go overboard with it same goes with the tiara! How long is your hair...what are you doing with it?

I checked out your dress...what color is yours???

I am getting married in May of this year. My wedding dress is so detailed and beautiful so my consultant said it would be better to go with a simple veil. I tried on many but it takes from my dress. So I went to Michael's craft store and bought a simple white one and add some crystals all over it. Again my friend thougt I paid $79.00 plus for it when indeed I only paid $14.99

My dress is Diamond White with silver lace, not quite white or Ivory. My hair is long, but I plan on wearing it all up, not sure how exactly, with side swept bangs maybe. I had a baby 6 weeks ago so its hard to find time to go and try on veils with my dress, which thankfully fits perfect now. Between constantly breastfeeding and taking care of a newborn, time is limited! This wedding has been in the works since before I was pregnant, so there are only three things left to do, flowers, cake, brides accessories, but my accessories have me stumped.
I am thinking a fingertip veil with a ribbon along the edge or maybe just lace like the bodice of my dress. Still not sure of a tiara

We have the same wedding date!! Congrats!! I am going with a chapel length veil that I ordered from BridalAllure (There site is down because they are adding gowns I guess) but only because we are getting married in ocho rios and I have an informal gown with no train. If I were you I would go with a short veil with all of the detailing that is on that gown... you would be covering up the prettiest part!!

I vote for the fingertip veil, too! Cathedral veils are pretty, but really hard to walk in, especially outdoors!

As for the tiara, all of my friends have had really good experiences with Princess Bride Tiaras. Here's their guide on choosing a tiara. I especially like the advice they give on choosing a tiara based on face shape.
