Hey Cindy....
I think we are going to a superbowl party. And just like you, I am rooting for the Under-Dog. We live about 20 min away from Detroit/Windsor border, and I think it's going to be absolutely insane. So maybe we will just relax with friends, rather than fight traffic, crowds...etc.

I think we are heading into the city on Sat nite!!! Should be crazy!!!

I wouldn't know it was Superbowl unless I saw this posting!!!
I'm completely not a football fan.
I guess you can call me girly girl

Hey Shawna,
Yeh, I hardly ever watch football. This is probably the only game I care to watch all year!!!! However, it's an excuse for drinking and fun!!!!

Oh I tried to watch every Houston Texan game televised. The Quarterback David Carr has got to be one of the sexiest men alive!!!! (Brian knows I have a crush!) Brian made me watch every Dallas Cowboy game and I cant stand the Cowboys. I always rooted for their opponent no matter who they were playing!

I am not a big sports fan and luckily for me neither is DH. So if I am lucky and he isn't working, we will just veg around and watch a movie or something while the Super Bowl is on.

... my sister's FH LOVES Football! He will watch and talk to the screen and yell and such, just makes me laugh ... especially to see her reply with 'Yeah, I saw that honey' :bblol:

Brian will throw his hat and cuss at the coaches and players. It very funny. He would tease me when my team would lose, but when HIS team lost, you would think his favorite puppy died.

Sean is going to the Superbowl. This is fabulous for me because that means I don't have to watch or hear about the Superbowl. I will be at the mall once again looking for wedding shoes.

We don't have any plans to watch the Super Bowl. Mark prefers the CFL to the NFL. But we're really NHL fans at heart.
I think we might chill out and watch some movies or go work on the wedding planning!

Joel and I are attending a Super Bowl Party at a friends house!!! He is a major football fan and I am not the biggest sports fanatic, but football is my favorite. We are both originally from Detroit and still live very close to the city, so we are excited. I was supposed to be on-call for work, but traded. I would really like to go downtown to the Winter Blast in Detroit, but I honestly don't like big crowds...though I am sure it will be very exciting.

If the Pats. were playing I would watch. butI don't care to watch any other team play. I am not big on sports but if I had to pick one to watch it would be football. FH is not big into it either. He likes watching collage ball I guess cause he played in collage. He is a HUGE nascar fan. We live about 30 or so mins. from one of the famous racetracks and he hasn't been able to go yet. He also took Sunday the 19th off so he could watch the Daytona 500 and was hopign I was gonna watch it with him. But this is the weekend I am headed to Maine to get my mom and little brother.

So no no plans to watch it here this year.

Seeing as how Detroit couldn't even keep the Freedom Fest gun free a few years ago, I am quite happy with sitting at home and avoiding Detroit at all costs (don't worry Lacey, I'm sure Sean will be perfectly safe). I'd rather my mother weren't in the area either. Detroit isn't really a safe city regularly, let alone when thousands of unhappy "my team lost" fans are piling out of a stadium. I do have to admit, the city did get a little better, but I prefer Windsor to Detroit any day.

As for Superbowl plans, as far as I know, we're staying home. I'd really like to catch up on some much needed R&R this weekend. Everything has been crazy lately. Hopefully we'll be able to adjust the antenna the right way on the t.v. so we get the Superbowl in. If we can't, we'll always turn on the radio; that's how I watched the Superbowl for the last couple of years (last year I was listening to it on the radio while I delivered pizzas...second biggest tip night of my pizza delivering career!) Oh and for all you Seahawk rooters...:p

GO PITTSBURGH!

Boy, it's weird not routing for the underdog.

Unfortunately I will be sleeping during the Super Bowl. This will be the first year I have missed it. I only watch it for the commercials, but this year I have clinicals at night, so... :(

Go!!!!!!!! STEELERS!!!!!
That was a scary game at some points. But them Pittsburgh Steelers came through. (You have to imagine me syaing that in my best Mon Valley/ yinzer accent too) It is a madhouse outside right now with all the fans pouring out of the bars onto the street. I can hear the "Hear we go Steelers" Here we go!" chant like someone in the next room is saying it. And, if Pittsburgh needed anymore proof of our football insanity, 15 school districts are reporting 2 hour delays so students can partake in the festivities. (There is one district NOT having a delay tomorrow.....the one that I work for)

It's a great night to be in the "da burgh!"
