Ugh. I am so sick!

Just wanted to whine...

I had five weeks off from school for the holidays. FIVE WEEKS and I end up getting sick two days before classes start back. If you miss the first day of class, you are dropped from the course, so I have to go spend half the day coughing non-stop in my classes with a fever and body aches.

I want to go home!

Hope you get better soon! I hated going to class sick. I haven't heard of being dropped from class if you miss the first day. But when I went to a community college I had to miss the first day of one semester because I was throwing up all morning...do they really want me to be in class!?

That sucks, but the bright side is, you didn't do what I did when I was young and on winter vacation from school. Broke my leg. 2 weeks of couped up in the house, and then some.

Ouch! I didn't break my leg on winter vacation, but I did break it two days before Thanksgiving!



I'm at work again now, and I'm supposed to be answering phones. Luckily, Jahmal has been fielding most of them today. I've only had to talk to two parents, but even that was rough. I don't have much of a voice right now. I've gone through almost a whole bag of cough drops in two days because if I don't have one, I'm constantly coughing and can't swallow.

I only have one class tomorrow (at 5pm), so if I'm still feeling this bad, I'm going to go to the school's health center and get some stronger meds.

I had my first day back to class today as well. I have had 3 reading assignments already to do for 3 different classes. Funny thing is, I haven't even had the class yet! I don't have them until Tuesday and Wednesday, but apparently some teachers think that it's valid if they email us assignments before we've met them. I am so ready to be done with college and this bs.
