Has anyone heard Bon Jovi's song "You had me at Hello"?
My FH wants us to use it as our first dance since he loves Bon Jovi, I really like to song too. What do you guys think? Is it first dance worthy?

I've heard Kenny Chesney's "You Had Me At Hello"...wonder if they're related. :)

At the mirror you fix your hair and put your makeup on
You're insecure about what clothes to wear
I can't see nothing wrong
To me you look so beautiful when you can't make up your mind
It's half past eight, it's getting late
It's OK, take your time
Standing here my hands in my pockets
Like I have a thousand times
Thinking back it took one breath
One word to change my life
Chorus:
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello
When we walk into a crowded room it's like we're all alone
Everybody tries to kidnap your attention
You just smile and steal the show
You come to me and take my hand
We start dancin' slow
You put your lips up to my ear and whisper way down low
Chorus:
From the first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello
And when you're laying down beside me
I feel your heartbeat to remind me...
Chorus:
The first time I saw you it felt like coming home
If I never told you I just want you to know
You had me from hello
From hello
First, I LOVE old Bon Jovi! This song is nice but I don't know if really has a 1st dance feel, to me at least.
Here is a site I found with lots of listings and lyrics of Bon Jovi songs - http://www.lyricsfreak.com/b/bon-jovi/
:goodluck:
Hi,
First..................Bon Jovi...excellent choice! I love Bon Jovi!!! I agree with Web Lady though, I don't think this song has a 1st dance feel, but this is just my opinion. In the end, it is up to the 2 of you to decide! I can suggest a couple of other songs for you by him, "Thank you for Loving Me", and "Always". I think these have more of the "feel". Good Luck.:D

I don't know if I've heard the song...but maybe you could find it in an acoustical version that might have more of a first dance feel.
By the way, nothing to do with Kenny Chesney's version...lol
Beautiful Lyrics though!
