Man, I am having a super emotional day today ... I got some mad PMS and I just feel like crying ;)

Im PMSing too. Ive been on the verge of tears for the past couple of days myself. Brian is the greatest at knowing just how to make me feel better!

Well, my DH just called and I broke down :bawling: D@mn PMS! I don't know why I let all this stuff get to me. But my honey always says the best things to make it all seem better :D I just don't know what I would do without him.

I tell ya though, it seems like the older I get the worse the PMS gets. The cramps, the lower back pain, the fatigue, the emotional stuff and all.

Anyone else over 30 (OMG, I can't believe I am 'over' 30) notice this problem?

Im over 30 too.......:bawling:
Actually since Ive been on the pill its not bad at all. And my peiods only last 4 days. BUT.........Ive noticed that during that time, I get aroused very easily.
Brian loves that part.....cant do anything but he loves knowing he can do that.

I haven't been on the pill in years! But, I did take it for a couple of months before and during our honeymoon (periods were messed up and didn't want to ruin the honeymoon) and since I stopped taking them I seem to have had more problems. Mr Dr says it is just me getting older :( She says as long as it isn't anything dibilitating then I shoudn't worry about it.

I guess we should just be positive, being over 30 isn't all that bad I guess ... if you don't can't the whole 'falling apart' thing and getting the gray hairs and wrinkles and such ;) :bblol: It could always be worse.

Well....I blame the falling apart on the stress of planning a wedding.:)
Dont have any wrinkles.....use a special cream twice a day for that.
Wont find any gray hairs on my head........gotta love Ms. Clairol!

Yeah, I started dying my hair again as soon as I noticed the first gray hair. I have started noticing a few little lines on my face ... I have always used moisturizer but now I am using that anti-aging stuff ;) And I am sure the 'falling apart' thing has something to do with stress of life in general, but I am working on better dealing with that.

Wedding planning stress it just like other stress factors, it only gets to you when you let it ... sometimes it is hard not to but we have to try.

:goodluck: to all of us :D

If it makes you guys feel any better, I used to have TERRIBLE PMS when I was younger (before I started the pill). So, it's not an age thing! The most regulated and non-dehibilitated (I'm just making up words today) I have ever been is on the patch. I kind of dread that part of trying to have kids...not being regular and without dehibilitating PMS all month!

My honey is good with the emotional stuff that the patch doesn't entirely cover...sometimes though, when my mother's around, I get provoked and he knows to just hide. :)

My only issue with PMS was that I would get really bad cramps. But now tath I have been on the pill for years my periods last a couple of days with little issues. The day before I start though I get a horrible migraine that won't go away with any amount of drugs.

I understand how you all feel though. My best friend would have cramps and bleed so heavily that once every few months she would end up at the emergency room. As she got older it got worse to the point that even going to the bathroom at regular times of the month was agnoy for her. At 23 she had a total hysterectomy where they found that she not only had one of the most severe cases of endometriosis that her doctors has ever seen but that it had caused her uterus to adhere to her bladder and colon. She was also completely full of polyps. They don't know how she ever kids.

Woah! I won't ever complain again!

My SIL (my bro's wife) has such severe endometrosis that she was told if she ever tried to have a baby again (she had two) it would kill her and the baby. Its scary how our "lovely" bodies work against us! At 23 I've had so many problems I would kill to have a regular period just once, without pain or extended bleeding. Four weeks for one period is freakin ridiculous...thank god we have been referred to a reproductive clinic that will help us, well rather me, get my bleeding and periods under control!! I don't wish any of this on anyone!!

PS sorry about the hijack Brandi!!

NP ;) It is sort of good to hear what others are going through. My mother had a hysterectomy when she was in her late 30's after my youngest brother was born. I don't remember what she had exactly, and I can't ever get a straight answer out of her about it

I have bad periods alot but it is usually only bad for the 1st couple of days ... yes, I still have 5 day ones :( I had problems with the Pill years ago and never took it again, I took it for a few months to regulate my period before we got married but I think I had problems this time. But, my Dr says the problems I am experiencing now are common for women in their 30's

On one hand I am glad I don't have to take BC anymore (DH has a vasectomy, for those of you that didn't know) but I do hate the PMS. I know it could be worse and that others have more serious problems but it still sucks :(

Oh well, I better learn to get over it ... I got like 20 more years or so, right? How old are you when you are suppose to start menopause, like 50?

My mom is 50...she still has hers. My aunt who passed away two years ago was 53 and was still dealing with it. I guess it all depends on the person really. WOuldn't it be great if we could turn it on and off when we need it or turn it off when we no longer or don't require it! How glorious would that be??!!

Interesting *stroking beard* ;)

Shoot, if I could just turn it off I would do it in a heart beat! Who needs it! :bblol:

I read something the other day about some treatment to stop having a period. If it wasn't for the drugs I would be all for that ;)

My fear about all this stopping your period is that, when you start it back up again (because at some point you have to) how horrid and awful would you feel? Like the drugs that make you only have two or three periods a year. I feel like cr@p on my period regularly...if you squeezed 4-6 months into one period...I don't think I'd be able to move...AT ALL! It scares me what we call modern technology. While I don't like my period and I'm the first to complain about it, I think it's much better than the alternatives could be...

Right now the only thing I want to stop my period is IF I AM PREGNANT!! I'm on day 38 of my cycle and still nothing. NO PMS, no acne, and the HPT (home pregnancy test) says negative! I don't want to get my hopes up, but I'm praying this is the month!!

Awww I'm hoping for you too! Gosh that would be so exciting! I can't wait until we're at that point. I'd love to be excited if my period was late...not worrying about what's going on and what's wrong. By the way, if you've been trying and you're that late, you might want to go see a doctor. While it's very rare, sometimes HPTs are wrong. Good luck!

Oh God! How I coudl hope. We;ve been trying for about a year and six months! We've been told by one doc to forget concieving almost all together! Another Doc told us to give it time, it would work it self out. I'm hoping the second doc was right, but we're currently awaiting a call from a fertility clinic!! My fingers and toes are crossed! I don't know if I've been making myself (subconciously) feel sick, but God I feel horriable and tired too! Wa! I just hope it's true!!

NP hun, I wouldn't beat a possibly pregnant woman ;) Like you said, we are all here to support each other. At least it is vaguely on the subject ... you guys really took over my 'Bad French Toast' thread :bblol: J/K I am not mad ... I know I have done it to others as well. I only think it is a problem when someone is causing trouble.

I feel I should add to this PMS thing. For starters I neer know when my period is going to come. I have one a month and it last for 5 days like clock work but never the same time evey month. I could have one at the beginnign of one month and then end of the next. I neve rknow. ( now these does pose a problem for my wedding day. I am taking a chance here. ) I never had problems with cramps and all that untill the last couple of years. ( gotta love gettign older, just hit 30 ) I was on the pill once when I was a teenager to try to regulate my period but I was having like 2 a month and skipping months and all I wanted to do was sleep. Never took them again and I wont. It may not be romantic to sotp and put a condom on but hey we do what we have to. If he had his way I'd be pregnant right now( or atleast trying to get that way ). We want to have one right away. I am thinking of startign to try abotu a month before the wedding. Maybe a little birthday suprise for him ( may 9th ).

I have a cousin that only has one or 2 periods a year. The docs put her on birth control to regulate her and she was not having it. I like it just fine only have 1 or 2 she said. She had a baby at 18 or 19 and they got married when he was 2. They tried for another right after they got married but it never happened untill the 1st one was 10. Took them 8 yrs to have another one.

I just hope I can get pregnant. I am not trying in the months of october and november. I already have 2 july birthdays ( 3 if you count my sisters ) I am not adding another one. I refuse lol.
