Alright so I've been looking at dresses (yes again). I'm a rather picky person that hasn't a clue exactly what she wants. Aside from the fact that I know I like them with fluffy skirts and some crinkling, bunching, and or use of sheer fabric is always a plus.

Well I came upon this Maggie Sottero inspired knock-off that I think is gorgeous!

What do you think?

If any of you ladies see something similar floating around out there I'd love to see!

I agree! It is beautiful!! And you have every right to be picky about your wedding dress!! It is your wedding day and you only get married once! Enjoy it and take your time choosing! I would hate for you to order your dress and then decide that you don't like it! Congrats!!!

Wow that dress is amazing! It's soo pretty!

Where do you find "knock-off" dresses that are replicas of actual designer dresses?

The bridal shops I've been to have sold the actual designer dresses.

This is via Julius Bridal online. There are several companies online that do it by outsourcing to places like China, thus making it cheaper.

Another I was looking at on their site was this one: http://www.juliusbridal.com/product.asp?DressName=Dallas

Just because it was so unique if nothing else. It intrigued me.

Digging around I think I found the dresses by Maggie that it was inspired by:

Mariah

Jean

I might call them just to see what their prices are, at least on the Mariah. Though it looks like it doesn't have the corset back the Julius does, which is a big sell point for me. It doesn't have the halter neck either.

Getting straps added is always an option. It looks like the Julius halter is just a strip of chiffon. You could duplicate that pretty easily if you like the other dresses.

I love the Julius dress! Why pay for the Maggie brand name when you can get a dress just as gorgeous for a much lower price?

WOW...That first dress is breath taking! I love it! You should try to see if there is a local bridal shop that does a site to store delivery so you can try it on.

The only reason I am hesitating over the Julius, is that you need to order it at least five months in advance incase there are any issues, to give them time to make it, etc. That only gives me five months from now to make up my mind and to shed the pounds I'm trying to :sweatdrop:
