This seemed like the place to put this.

I have tried a lot of things over the years. And exorcise videos tend to keep me on track. Even if the weather is bad I can stay home and do SOMETHING. Also in the past few years I've really slacked off about working out, so I need to get my bum in gear!

On an old forum I belonged to the ladies there really raved about Turbo Jam. Saying it was high energy and really worked. So I've been looking into it for awhile. Watching the commercials, looking online...

I guess I'm just hoping someone on here has tried it and could give an opinion. It seems like a lot to spend (near $80 when all said and done for all the videos, gloves, etc.) if it's not something I'll be able to stick with. But I really want to do something and shed some weight before the wedding!

I've never seen this before but just watched their infomercial on the website. It looks pretty fun, but 10 lbs & 10 in. in only 10 days? I always wonder if the "before/after" pictures of success stories are real.

It is kind of pricey to buy without hearing "real" reviews, but I think it'd be a wonderful investment if it truly worked! I look forward to hearing about it. Best of luck!

I have it and I enjoyed it. I wish I kept with it.

What made you stop sticking with it? I mean, was it just personal or was it something with the program? Sorry if that's something you dont' want to answer I'm just really trying to figure out if I want this or not.

No, it's fine. It was me, I just never continue things I start...particularly with diets and exercise. It was a great video collection and maybe I'll start picking it up again if I can get some energy back.

I've heard about the Power 90 program too, doesn't it require hand held weights or some such? My FH actually looked at that one, haha. He'd like to be "buff".

I understand Robin, I can stick with something pretty well. But only if I don't get bored!

I looooooooove Yoga Booty Ballet - also from Beachbody. It's so much fun! I had it awhile back and stupidly gave it to someone....I just now bought another set I liked it so much!

It's all kinds of stuff. They do some yoga, meditation and mantras, but they also do focused ab work, basic aerobics and some super fun dancing. (I'm all about the dancing!!) One of the dance things is called something Burlesque.

The people doing it are two very bubbly girls (not cheerleader types) who just crack me up. They're fun to watch and keep you entertained and pumped up.

Well I started my turbo jam today when I got it in the mail! Learn and Burn first and my initial reaction has to be that her "turbo tuck" is going to kill me, haha! It is the base for almost every move, squatting slightly and pulling your tail bone forward to be in constant state of "crunch" while leaving your shoulders and back flat as if up against a wall. Oooog my abs. But I'm glad they burn it means they're still there somewhere!

I use Turbo Jam & I like it. I also have Biggest Losers VDV's, Denise Austin & a few more. I get bored fast. I workout 5 days a week with yoga, aerobics & weights. It works best for me. You have to find your own thing & your own time to exercise or you will never stick to it. I also have a treadmill, workout bench, free weights & a stability ball. I like doing it out of my home just because it's more convienent & it doesn't smell like a boys gym.

I use Turbo Jam, and I think it's fab. Chalene is great at keeping you motivated, without being annoying. It's a lot of fun, and the music isn't bad.

I also ordered Hip Hop Abs from Beachbody, and no offense to anyone who loves it, but I think it's horrible. Too much bouncing around, I don't feel anything being worked and the guy just gets on my nerves.
