I wanted to surprise him and take him away for a few days since we both have Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday off. Just go to a little B&B for some relaxing just outside of town. Our dating anniversary is the 15th so I thought it would be nice. Of course I found out yesterday we have a mandatory staff meeting at work on the 14th (and yes, we double checked, they know it's Valentines day!) So we get to go into work from 6pm-9pm. Now I'm not sure what I'm going to do.

I have to work until 4, so I'm not sure what we'll be doing. Red Lobster and Hibachi Japan are our special restaurants, so maybe we'll go eat at one of them to celebrate.
What are you going to get him? What are you hoping to get?
I'm not big on presents on Valentine's Day, but I'd really like a pair of small diamond earrings. I circled an inexpensive pair in a JBR catalogue and wrote "I Love You Jason" on the front of it...if he doesn't get that hint, I'm going to write a page number on it...lol. I'd like to have them to wear in my second holes at the wedding. If I don't get those, I'll probably just stick with my celtic knots that I always wear.
I'm going to take him to Best Buy and let him get whatever game he wants. With not having a full time job and the way Sony screwed up the game we used to play, he doesn't have much to do all day...well not that he wants to do (I can think of PLENTY for him to do!). So I thought I'd get him a game to start playing. Hopefully he'll have thought about it beforehand. I know it's not much of a surprise...but I'd rather get him something I KNOW he's going to like.

That Sucks..I hate when management makes decisions without thought to anyone else. My supervisor put me oncall on Super Bowl Sunday...which is a big deal since I am origiannly from Detroit and still live in MI and the SuperBowl is here. Then I had requested the 17th off, becuase I have the
20th off for Presidents Day and she put me on-call the 17th and 18th. Anyways...that was romantic idea and I would do something like that for my sweetie...if I could afford it.:(

My honey and I already had our Valentine's day because we are moving on the 14th and 15th of February. We went away to a lodge in the mountains, they had a wood burning fire place right in the room, it was so rustic and beautiful! I loved it! We did something similar for our first V-day together as well. (except at a different hotel in the mountains.) Other then that, thats it! I don't think we'll have much time to even talk those two days because we'll be driving seperate vehicles for six and a half hours...oh wait, we've got walky-talkys at least....but there wont be a whole lotta contact if ya know what I mean  ! :bbcry:

I have no idea what we will be doing for this Valentines Day. This is our 2nd together but the first since he has been living here. Last year he was just here for a visit. He was determined to be here for out 1st together so he was here for a week. I am hoping for my diamond but even if I don't get it I am sure we will have a nice day no matter if we get to do anythign or not.

For Valentine's Day I'll be home alone. Sean has a conference in Las Vegas that he "has" to go to. At least it is all paid for. I think on the 10th we are going out to dinner though. I also took the liberty of emailing him the bracelt that I liked and wanted for the wedding. Now I just have to come up with something for him.

Valentines in not a real big deal with us, so we don't do a whole lot, just cards most of the time. Last year he made me one that said "I love you on the 'Halmark Holiday' and everyday" * hehe* We try to show each other we love one another everyday (but any excuse for chocolate is great by me ;))
He is suppose to go to Orlando for work from the 16th through the 20th and I am going with him so I guess that will be our V-day treat ;) His b-day is the 23rd and I want to do something nice for him then but I don't know what and I only have 'short' money right now ;)

My fh. is on call that day. So i really don't think we will be planning a whole bunch. I think I will order dinner in and maybe watch a movie. Usually we go out for dinner somewhere.though the thought of staying home sounds good to me. We have been soooo. busy lately. :)

Im sure we will have kids that evening so Ill probably get something and set up a romantic lunch for Brian. That will probably be the only time we dont have kids stuck up our butts. I have seen at the $ store a single silk rose that is HUGE. Its a little bigger than a grapefruit! Thay had several different colors. I need to get one and hide it at work because if I dont, when I go back to get it, they wont have anymore.

We're not planning anything really. Mark has to work on Valentines Day so he won't be home until 1030 or so. We're going to go out for dinner on the weekend before.
We also decided not to get eachother anything. Money is a bit tight, and we don't really need anything. We decided that the money we would have spent is best going towards the wedding.

Depending on how good of a cook you are and what you're planning on serving for dinner at the wedding. You could make a replica meal and set the table all pretty. That could be sweet and kinda get you guys thinking about it. Could be a neat test run for you're centrepeices too!

I very subtly gave Jason the hint that I would like small diamond earrings for my second hole for the wedding. I picked the most inexpensive pair (he's unemployed and I know he wants to spoil me) in the JBR catalogue and circled it, rabbit eared the page, and wrote on the front in big huge letters, "Jason I Love You, Check out page 4!" I think he got the hint. They're only $50.00, so I think he might be able to squeeze them out of his limited funds. I hope so.
As for plans, well, much to my dismay, we ended up with a ballroom dance lesson at 5:10. We did move it up a little bit so we can go out to dinner afterwards. So we're going to go to Hibachi Japan (one of our favorite restaurants)! And if we haven't hit Best Buy at that point, we'll go to Best Buy to pick out his gift. I promised him his choice of computer game, since I know he's bored. AND, if there's time and it's still open, maybe we'll hit the lingerie store that's not too far from there. Which reminds me; right after valentine's day, lingerie will be on sale! WOOT! Honeymoon shopping time!
