So I have a problem...need opinions!!

I was going to go tomorrow to order my dress through a bridal shop...it is $890 and that is with nothing extra, just the dress. This is what it looks like in the store...keep in mind that this dress is ivory.

THEN I was playing around on the computer waiting for FH to stop playing Halo, and I found this website...www.bridaloutletworld.com and they had the dress I wanted for only $425 and I believe that is with free shipping. Here is that dress...it is ALMOST the same, but on this dress I LOVE the corset back more that the one at the store. This one is in white I believe.

Tell me what you think, do you think that they are too different or worth the $500 difference?? Has anyone used this website before? I just need some help!!!:heart:

I really like the second one, and I don't think it's too different at all. In perfect honesty, I like it better (but both are beautiful!) -- imo, as long as the second place is reputable, I say save your 500 bucks!!

See if it is on bestbridalprices.com they have quite a few designers... maybe they will have yours.. and depending on designer.. free shoes and veil!!!

I plan on ordering my dress online from Bridal Online Store (http://www.bridalonlinestore.com). I think they have some dresses that are similar to those, and several of the ladies here have ordered from them.

I agree to check best bridalprices.com .. lots of people have gotten theirs from there. I would have if i didnt settle on my ebay dress!!!

I would do alot of searching around and EMAIL the people who sell the second dress to see if it comes in ivory!

check around before you make your final decision. Once you decide on a dress dont just settle for the first price. You may be able to find it on ebay, with veil, with shoes, etc etc.. there are endless possibilities. Give yourself a timeline--- for example be like i will look until the 15th and if i dont find the same one or close to the same one i want in ivory then i am going to buy theoriginal.... then you will search like crazy to find it

Thanks! I did check BBP first thing cause that was going to be my first choice but it was just the same price as in the store. And I really like the second dress better, the back is prettier and almost looks exaclty the same but 500 cheaper!! That is the kicker for me!!! But I was just going to look around today and see what is out there. Thanks for the input:heart: Ohh yeah the original was a maggie dress.

when you check bbp did you tell them about the pricing being the same? when i looked for a dress i emailed them and told them that it was the same price, and it wasnt discounted, they gave me a code for 150 off and with the free veil and shoes it would have been a better price

Thats true, I would get free shoes and a veil, I didnt think about that. But I checked the other site that Allison is getting her dress from and it is EXACTLY the same as the store dress and is $499...here is the site http://www.bridalonlinestore.com/store/Melissa.asp but the tie is different....I am going to drive myself crazy over this!

yah the price needs to be your decision maker when there is nothing distinctive that you like or dont like about the dress. :)

HAHA...isnt that how it always goes?? He is the worst, he can get ready in 2 minutes and thinks that I should be the same...men!

BUT...I ordered my dress from the Bridal Outlet World just seconds ago! I got it in Ivory and am getting a custom made veil to match the dress!! The best part is that it was only $520 with the dress and custom made veil! That saves me so much money!! I am so excited, the ladies were SO nice and helpful. I just cant wait to get it! I am hoping to get it by the end of march and everything will be fine with me :heart:

If you love the 2nd one then go with it, you can spend that $500 for something else...like for the honeymoon :D

Im so glad you made the decision and did it. Sometimes you have to just close your eyes and jump. :) Im glad they were able to do it in ivory too.. SOOO EXCITING!

I know what you mean about closing your eyes and jumping! I could sit here on my couch and look at wedding dresses for a month and still not make up my mind....I always do the "what ifs"...so I just went for it this time!! I hope everything turns out alright and thanks for all the advice:heart:

It will turn out great- believe me. For three days while waiting for my ebay dress i sat here thinking "oh god what did i do" and when it got here, it took my breath away. Your going to be a beautiful happy bride even if you wear a trash bag :) My brother said that to me one day when i was stressing about "should i get the other one" and he was right. :)

These on-line places are soo much cheaper because their overhead is WAY less, so they don't need to mark things up as much!

I really like the 2nd dress. It's beautiful. All of these websites are like starting over I imagine. If you are interested in a couple more, I have two wedding gown websites in my directory on the resources page on my website.
