My ring is a radiant cut (still a square, most would assume its a princess but it is slightly different) It has a total of 43 diamonds, the three on each side of the main one are square also and then all the small ones down sides and around the main one are round.

I love my princess cut :) It's so perfect for me too, because I didn't want anything TOO big, because my hands are pretty small. So instead of going for something big, Matt really focused on the quality and it is just about perfect when we took to have it looked at. Matt told me this whole story about how he could have spent the same amount of money and gotten me a diamond twice the size, but instead got a better quality one because our relationship is more about quality vs. quantity.... oh how I love my husband, it means so stinking much to me how much research he did and how close to perfect he wanted the diamond to be. Even if I ever upgrade to a bigger size I will always keep my ring because of how it makes me feel about our "quality" relationship hehe

Here's mine!! I was torn between round and radiant -- But I LOVE LOVE LOVE my rectangle radiant.

When I was little, my aunt had an emerald cut (still does, I suppose lol). I always loved it and wanted that. Then I started researching, and decided I wanted the rectangle, but with the sparkle of a round. Round shows bigger than other cuts, princess shows smaller than others. So I was torn between radiant and round (greed issue).

All my life I have liked round. Everyone in my family has round. Me I got a marquse. It's RC's favorite shape. It is a 1ct. Leo. I wish I could take a picture that does it justice but it just doesnt photograph well. It was kinda funny when we were looking the salesman kept asking me if I wanted a bigger stone. I had a hard time convincing everyone that I was perfectly satisified with the smaller stone. Its flawless and the color is white.

I wonder -- I love my ring and I think it suits me. I wondered if I should have gotten a round, but then I tried one on (just to see), and I didn't like how it looked on me at.all.

But I wonder if I "grew" into my radiant, or if it really was the best shape for me. My mom has a marquise. She doesn't like it very much (I think she got the marquise because it shows big -- and it's a huge stone to boot), but I can't imagine anything else on her.

If I had chosen my ring I think I would most love an asscher cut, which is like a square emerald cut. But I like that FH put together my ring to surprise me with; I would not have been as happy to go pick out my own.

My mom and FH designed it together. He didn't want the bezel, but the jeweler told them he didn't feel comfortable putting the larger diamond in the center without it.

All my diamonds are sentimental. The center is from my mom's engagement ring, one on the side is my grandma's engagement ring, and the rest are from a ring from my other grandma. My wedding band has a few small diamonds from my grandma's wedding band.

I love my oval - it's an heirloom from his grandmother (I always said I wouldn't wear a diamond, but who can turn down Grandma's blessing?) It's distinctive and fairly uncommon - as people have said, ovals aren't seen frequently, but it's a very classic cut.

We reset the original cocktail-ring style into something a little more appropriate for my lifestyle, and replaced the diamond with a sapphire in the original ring, so I got a lovely 40's-style cocktail ring, too! The e-ring is a trellis setting with deep blue sapphires on either side, with the stone set east-west (sideways), which makes it that much more distinctive. I just love it!

Mine is a round cut with a 4-prong setting. I liked the look of princess cut, but the same sized round stone sparkles more because of the cut. I have a smaller stone, so the 4-prong makes the stone look larger than the typical round setting (with prongs all the way around).

Asscher cut is my fave! I'm surprised FH didn't get it for me because he even pointed the cut for me a long time ago. I love what I have, but if I were choosing, I'd get an asscher cut like this, with sloped stones on the side.
