What is DH or FH like when he's sick???

Oh my Goodness...I could have smacked my wonderful husband tonight!
When he's sick he's very lets just say needy...He's not very good with taking his medicines..I'll find bottles of unfinished antiobiotics later on that sort of stuff. And ofcourse..I yell at him for not finishing them and what not be he doesn't think I know what I'm talking about!!

Well, today the doctor ordered predisone and an antiobiotic. I told him with the predisone he has to take it exactly as ordered. He could have serious side effects if he doesn't. Ecspecially if he doesn't finish it. So, DH got stubborn and said he wouldn't take it.

He can be so difficult sometimes. I tell him finish the antiobiotics, finish the steroids and take just as ordered and it's like the end of the world and he acts like I don't know what I'm talking about!!

Finally, I told him..Shawn when it comes to this stuff you know that if I'm not sure I call....If I doubt it the slightest bit I call....Won't you just understand when it comes to these things and I tell you what you need to do you just need to shut up and listen..I know what I'm talking about!!!

LOL...He finally took his pills! Now I just gotta babysitt him the next few days..lol I love him to death but somedays he could drive me up the wall!

So what is your DH/FH like when they're sick????

He's surprisingly good. I've only seen him sick once, but he didn't whine at all! I was kinda shocked...I would have thought he'd be a big baby. :bblol:

Matt doesn't really get sick very often (now watch he will now lol). But my dad is so like that! Whenever anyone else gets sick he sprays the entire stinking house down. But when he gets sick he's all like "I'm so sorry I'm sick, I just hope I don't get anyone else sick, I'm just so sick" In this sicky voice. Which sounds all sweet, except that he comes out of his bedroom every 2 mins to say that lol. He ALWAYS gets it worse than anyone else.... riiiiiigggghhhhtttt lol

Aww, FH is pretty good when he's sick. I'm the one going "Oh, baby, let me help you, aww" and he's pretty okay. Mostly just worried about getting me sick.

i been lucky, my fh has not been sick enough to go to the doctor or anything. he gets a cold but that is it. He is not whiny or anything.
me on the other hand...i lay on the couch and complain how miserable i am. I think i get sick enough for the both of us. It doesnt help i work where people come in sick. I do so much to sanitze everything and my hands but i always get a cold somehow.

Mine is tough as an ox. He never whines, and just keeps right on truckin. I've only seen him really sick once and he had galvinise (spelling) poisioning from work and couldn't get out of bed. He didn't make one peep and stayed in the bedroom until it passed.

My Sean is so good... He hardly gets sick but when he does he just wants to be cuddled. I don't mind since I have a pretty high immunity, I work with kids =) hehe

My fh isnt to bad when he's sick (he's worse when he's tired lol). I on the other hand cant stand to be sick or in any form of pain. I'll cry and whine and about everything but I stay in my room when Im sick that way if someone comes over they dont see how crappy I look lol.

Mine is one of those suffer-in-silence types, combined with the 'Oh, it's not so bad' thing. He'll go to work and do whatever he normally does. In the almost two years that I've known him, he's missed ONE day of work because of illness.

He typically says 'Oh, it's not that bad'. When we started living together I had to ask him to let me know when he feels bad so that I can take precautions, so that I don't get sick myself. He didn't understand that he would make me sick until I pointed it out.

He also says 'Oh, I get everything on the planet -- if there's something going around I'll get it!' but either his immunity is increasing or there's been less sickness around lately, because he hasn't been all that ill this past year. I would like to think that being with me is strengthing his immune system!

FH LOVES to be babied when he's sick. I don't mind it, I work with elementary kids everyday sooooo it's pretty freaking similar. I love wiping off their little noses and everything :) :heart: plus he babies me when I'm sick. :)

DH is not bad when he is sick. He isn't sick often, but when he is he just lays around quietly and doesn't even really complain or ask for anything. Sometimes I have to remind him to take it easy and rest.

I get a little whinny sometimes when I am sick though.

It really depends on what Joe has for him to be whiny or not but generally he's not too bad..I'm the big baby when I get sick and he still does all he can to make me feel better...including making me take medicines that I hate! LOL

I think I know why it bugs me so much when DH gets whiney and needy when he is sick..See, even at my worse I work with illness and I only go to the doctor when I know it's definately needed. I really don't have time to take it easy..If I do call off of work it usually for the kids, not me!!

So, DH isn't like that at all. He will take off work in a blink if he's not feeling up to par, whine, take naps, etc. Since I'm so different than him that is probably why it bothers me soo much!! LOL! Well, I'm glad to know not only why it bothers me so but that I'm not the only one with a DH that loves to be pampered when he's sick!

Steve won't even stop when hes sick! He'll be like 'i'm fine!' and do whatever he was doing before.. If he starts getting really bad though, he'll just lay down. I try and make him feel better, but i think he doesn't want to bother me, lol. Not that i'll listen! =D

omg NIck is worst then a toddler, he is clingy and wants me to do everything for him. Give him medicine, make him soup, make him food, rub his head. ARGH he is such a moaner too.... ughhhh it drives me insane. I sometimes want to say SUCK IT UP! hahah
