just got engaged and am thrilled. however, i have a problem. My brother is getting married in February and my sister is having a baby in may. When do we announce our engagement? Do we wait until after the wedding or do we tell people now. dont want to take away from other events. As all here are engaged and planning their weddings can you please give me some advice. would you prefer somebody get engaged 2 months before your wedding date or 2 months after???? PLEASE help!!!!!!!!

I wouldn't care if someone were to get engaged right before my wedding....as long as they didn't plan to have their wedding right before my wedding. :bblol:

And the having the baby thing shouldn't matter. I wouldn't think.

yah def. announce... as long as your not a week or so behind their wedding in announcing it (liek while everyone is buzzing about their wedding) or right after (like before pctures are even in) then you should be met with enthusisum and im sure your sil/bro will be happy to share in the excitment and give you some ideas

I would announce when I felt comfortable doing so. If you want to do it now then by all means do it now. LOL. As long as you do not announce at the time of the other weddings. Now that would be bad.

Christmas is comming up, you could wait till then, and say look what I got for a present from FH.
But then again, anytime is a good time.

Personally, i think its so sweet that you are worried about trampling on other peoples happy days.. but i think they will be happy for you! Go for it! :candycane:

Oh man I couldn't wait to tell people I texted everyone in my phone, except my mom cuz somehow I missed her, it was 11 pm. Go ahead and tell the world! congrats!
