Ok so I was married once before but because I didn't live near my family or talk to them I figured I'd use my maiden name on the invites as well. So which one comes first my married last name or my maiden last name?

Heather maiden-married
OR
Heather married-maiden??

Also both fh and I have parents that are divorced and our dads have never remarried so their names should be after the married set of parents right so it looks like this right?

Donna (last name) and David (last name)
and
Earl (last name)

Valerie and Roderick (last name)
and
Steven (last name)

I know if the couple is married and have the same last night you dont list it behind both name but my mom and stepdad dont share the same last name thats why I have her's listed as well.

Thanks!:frogg:

So are you still using the married name from your 1st marriage then?

Me, I would use my maiden name as the name from the 1st marriage doesn't mean anything to me. Otherwise you should use "Heather maiden-married"

As for your divorced parents, typically only the names of the hosts (paying parties) should be on the invitation. But if both are or you just want both sets of parents on there, the order should be :

Bride’s mother and husband
Bride’s father
Groom’s mother and husband
Groom’s father

So yeah, pretty much like you had it ;)

Yeah Im still using the name from my first marriage. I'd use just my maiden name but some of my friends dont know me by that.

I thought I had the parents names right but I wasnt sure. None of them are paying for anypart of the wedding I just want to put their names in there. Unless of course the wording is to long then the parents will get ousted lol.

no i have seen the wording before but if you dont want to add step parent you can put

Bride, daughter of (parents full names)
Groom, Son of (parents full names)

our invites are going by the traditional who is paying however we are doing

mr and mrs vincent (brides parents) would like to join in the celebration of the marriage of their daughter, Vana (bride) to michael (groom), son of mr and mrs. edward (grooms parents)

i just like t have the parents all listed too :)
