That's right.... no more excuses
I was a personal trainer for awhile, but here in Oregon it's not such a lucrative career so now I'm working at a bank while I finish getting my masters in psychology.

Anyhow here is some weight background:

In August 2006 I weighed 180 lbs. I am 5'7'' so that's in the overweight category. Then I finally got motivated. I started working part time at a gym and being there every other day sort of forced me to work out. Well I lost thirty pounds in four months. I was down to 150 and I looked amazing. I lost another ten pounds and I was a size ten for the first time in my life (I've always been heavy- I started middle school as a size 13).

Flash Forward:
A year a a few months later I'm at 158 and 156 on a good day. So I gained back about ten pounds. I'm still really proud that I have kept that original thirty pounds off, but I would like to feel amazing on my wedding day.

My goal: To bench 80 pounds and weight a comfortable 140 (I want to weigh that most days of the week, not just on a good day:rassberry: ). As for the bench pressing, I know it may sound silly, but I think a girl should be able to lift some weight!:hi:

I know exactly what I need to do and what I need to eat, I just can't seem to motivate myself. I have no problem getting others motivated, but I have a hard time with it myself.

So it's time for no more excuses for me. I decided to start a journal so I could write everything down (something I used to require of my clients)

My plan is to eat healthy- between 1300-1500 calories (recommended for weight loss when you work out a lot) and to work out at least 4 times a week.

So wish me luck. I'll be letting you know how it goes:)

Woohoooo! Good luck!!

I'm close to the same size you are. I'm 5'7" and, after getting back on the wagon, am clocking in at 148. (I've lost almost 6 pounds!) I'm looking more toward 130-135 to end up with...and have 5 months to do it and keep it there.

I want to join a gym SO badly!! I will within in the next month (whenever I find one)

I'm back in my size 10s, too! I still have jeans and stuff that are size 8. That's my next goal! :bblol:

Good luck to you!

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!

And I just now saw you're getting married the week after I am. We can keep each other in check!

well so much for no excuses....
I still seem to have them

I've decided that my problem is that I have no clear cut plan so I'm not movtivate to follow anything.

So starting tonight I am going to workout at night. I've been telling myself that I'll work out in the mornings, but it never happens so I will just work out at night after my honey has gone to bed, which is usually around 7pm.

I will work out Monday Tuesday and Wednesday for sure and either Saturday or Sunday as well
I will do at least thirty minutes of cardio and thirty minutes of weight trainings

I need to meet my goals:)
:)
wish me lots of luck!

Well I at least ended my day well yesterday

I had boiled tiplapia (fish) with broccoli and a 1/4 cup of mash potatos and for dessert I had strawberry forzen yogurt

Today I've had a bowl of grain cereal with non fat milk and a coffee

I will work out today, no questions- I get off work at 2:30 today so there's no reason why I shouldn't go to the gym :)

Well I'm doing better. I still can't seem to get to the gym, but I'm eating so much better and I've lost a pound since I started this journal.

I'm starting to eat breakfast again instead of just relying on coffee so I think that's helping my metabolism a LOT!

I've been eating fish for dinner, and sandwhiches with lots of veggies for lunch.

With the holidays it's difficult to stay on course so I'm letting myself just have VERY small portions of what I want instead of denying myself completely which never works

we'll see how it goes:)

Well I am pleased to report that my holidays did not ruin me:)

I have brown rice and pork on Christmas Eve (chinese food on that day is a tradition for John's family)

Then on Christmas I had corn, turkey and stuffing, but all was in moderation. I did splurge and have a cinnimon roll for breakfast, but I didn't over indugle in anything else:) yay!

Good luck! I need to get really serious asap as I have 6 months and would like to lose at least 20 but I could use a loss of 60. Ouch.
