Wooohoooo!!

We're having our Christmas party tomorrow night. Apparently, every year, every employee gets a really cool gift. Last year everyone got an iPod, so we were all anxious to find out what we're getting this year.

Well, we have the inside scoop with the guy who takes care of the deliveries....he told us we're all getting $200 digital cameras!! WOOOOOOO!! How fun is that?!

They also do drawings all night where people get vacations and camcorders and such. I'm so excited!! I'll post some pics this weekend. :geek:

Wow, your company is generous! We get a $25 gift card and a bowling party.

Good luck in the drawing and I hope you love your camera!

I was thinking the same thing Peridot. You're working for a great company if they care for their employees like that. Did everyone scream (like they were on Oprah) when they got an Ipod last year Chase?

Wow! Sounds like fun! i wanna work with you! I work with the scrooge! Our christmas present this year was him hanging up and lighting our wreath. Actually we do get a nice luncheon.

I dunno...I wasn't there. Heehehe! But the way I hear it, everyone was REALLY happy with it! Hehe!

Before last year, they gave everyone something different. Some people got vacations, some got cameras, some got grills.... They decided to make all the gifts the same, though, in case someone was jealous of another's gift amount. Which makes sense, I guess.

And it IS a great company. It was recently ranked one of the top places to work in Oklahoma based on how they treat their employees (pay, incentives, vacation, insurance, etc). I'm lucky to have found my way into it! I LOVE IT! :frogg:

that is awesome that they do appreciate their workers, you dont get that at too many places anymore.

:notsure: SOoooooooo....I totally forgot to bring my camera! D'OH!!!!! I was so mad at myself because it was SO much fun!

So, first let me say the theme was "A Night Of Angels" so the rest makes sense.

They had us all standing out in the foyer at first...where there were two bars (from which we got free drinks). They had hired people to play music...violins, horns, etc...all of them were beautiful and had on angel wings. It was cute.

Then, they opened the big doors and you walked in and the first thing you see is two HUGE angels. They had hired models to stand up on big platforms (about 4 feet up) and they each had on white togas and HUGE angel wings...like a span of about 15 feet across...EACH! They were attached to their arms so when they moved, the wings sorta flapped all mystical-looking. It was simply stunning. I SOOOO wish I had a picture of that for you guys.

Then, when you walked passed them, they had big screens set up with random things on them...and you heard music. When you walked further into the room, you realized it was a choir of children (all dressed as angels, of course!) singing! It was UNREAL.

They gave away prizes all night - flat screen tvs, palm pilots, grills, etc. We didn't win anything, though. (Though I'm not complaining...we still got our digital cameras!)

Dinner was DELISH! We had all kinds of stuff.

Then, later, one big wall of the place started opening up and that's where the dance floor/dj/dessert bar was!! It was SO much fun. And sooooo beautiful!!! :frogg:

Anyway. No pictures. DANG IT! But it was a blast! :geek:

Wow, that sounds like an amazing party! Your company doesn't hond anything back when they throw a party, do they? Glad you had a good time.

wow what a great party, sorry you didn't win anything more that night. I grew up in Oklahoma and sometimes miss it.

Yeah, they're always great to their employees...and even more so, the patients! :)

That is so cool. I have been hearing them advertised here recently. Anyone that can help cancer patients is a hero in my eyes.

On Friday when I came to work, of the 6 people we had on treatments, 4 of them had lung cancer. I am just weirded out by that. The 5th one is dying from lung disease and the 6th was a little person. One of the patients was looking at going to Cancer Treatment Centers of America because she had been hearing such good things.
