Hey guys. I new to onewed.com. I need help finding colors for my wedding this year in august. Any ides?

Hello there ... first off, Congrats on your engagement and upcoming wedding and Welcome to the board! :cheers:

Summer weddings usually use lots of bold, fresh colors ... yellows, purples, bright pinks and deep, bright blues, like navy or teal. Red, gold and silver are great too. Pastels tend to be more spring but can be used to add light touches.

Some great summer flowers are; roses (orange, yellow, deep pink and red) sunflowers, red and yellow calla lilies, dahlias, and gerber daisies. I saw a summer wedding once where they used oranges and lemons in the centerpieces too ;)

I love the look of a bubble gum pink mixed with a raspberry very summer garden looking. Along that same line I like a birhgt orange and a bright green. If you want something a little less hot in color terms maybe an aqua and seafoam green.

Congatulations hunni !!!:ura1: How about a really tropical theme using bold bright colours like fushia pink, orange,yellow, lime green and purple. You could use exotic flowers ie orchids and each of your bidesmaids could wear a diffent tropical colour

I was thinking bright vivid colors too...as long as you're not a strong traditionalist. Oranges, greens, and blues are big right now, so you could hit a department store for your bm dresses and save your bms some dough. I love the tropical idea...like a luau! With little umbrellas and everything...I think that would be great!

Oh I just hate it when they take my body and put someone else's face on it! LOL!

Now that is hot! Unfortunatley neither I or my BM's are built to carry that off!

Bright Fresh Colors will be awesome with lots of flowers and definitely some signature drinks for the reception, like punches and sangria, with alot of colorful fruit.
