View Full Version : Amc
Oh gawd, I just had to post about this. I'm watching The Wedding Planner on AMC. You know the part where they knock the statue over and a piece of his manhood breaks off? Well, good old AMC turned it into a finger. I heard Jennifer Lopez say, "Oh my God you broke his finger off" and I thought I was going crazy. But nope - I saw a stone finger laying on the ground. Sooo absurdly fake looking.
Okay, so it's probably not that funny right now, but watching it was hilarious.

I crack up how horrible they make the cover-ups on network tv. My favorite of all time was watching Showgirls on TBS. It's a movie ABOUT topless dancers in Vegas. SOOOOO funny how they did digital shirts on everyone and how they didn't QUITE move the same as the actors. Heheheh!

I haven't seen the movie, but I think it is funny how movies are edited for TV sometimes ;)

I love when the dub in words...like it will say You Bit*h and the Tv will dub it to way you witch!!!
Oh YES I've seen the Showgirls wonderful computerized shirts. Poor Chad...after the movie was about halfway over he was like what is wrong with their shirts. :notsure: I had to explain to him and he felt like a genius.

I love it when you have a clear shot and can read the actor's lips, and they're saying something *totally* different from what they dub. You'd think they'd try to make it a least a little less obvious.

It's amazing to me that they edit TV in the States. Here they just don't - they put anything questionable on only in the evening and with a parental warning/ratings.
To be honest I think that's a better way of doing things.
