Honeymoon question

ok so i think FH and I have narrowed the field down to the Bahamas or Dom. Republic...We just have no clue which would be better...anyone ever been or anyone reccomend one over the other?...Thanks!:rassberry:

DH and I went to Nassau, Bahamas on our honeymoon; well it was a cruise and we stopped there for a day. It was nice; lots of shops, great beach, we did a dolphin encounter and went snorkeling ... and had dinner at the Hard Rock Cafe ;)

We may go again one day as there is much to do that we didn't get to do in the one day we were there.

we are kinda leaning towards bahamas as stupid as it may sound because they are both so far away..but bahamas arent as far so not as long on a plane...hehe not to much for sitting for long periods of time lol

I have not been to the Dom. Republic ... so I could be biased. But I would say FLY to the Bahamas and stay at the Atlantis! That place is AMAZING!!!!!

I have been to both and hands down...Bahamas! DR is cool, but very different and the roads are SOOO unsafe, etc. My SIL is actually from there!!!! But if you do decide DR, I can ask her ?'s for you! She goes 4 times a year and her whole family is still there!

she gave us passport app. and i got like so excited for some reason lol...i guess cause its finally for real!

OMG Our passport pictures turned out so so bad. I couldn't believe it! I fixed my hair and did my makeup and everything, but the lighting and camera angle was so bad there was no hope.

Yours will turn out much better though!

My FH and I went to the Dominican Republic almost 2 years ago and there wasn't a whole lot to do. If you're looking for a relaxed, book-reading on the beach vacation then I would recommend it. FH wanted more action but there was none... It was in Bavaro and all-inclusive. Food wasn't the greatest, either... but I'm a super-picky eater!
