I have a feeling that Pat Cattan's craft store and I are going to become much closer friends than we already were, prior to my engagament.

About a week after our engagement, I bought three winter berry garlands at 50% off. I'm kicking myself for not buying more, as they were all sold out a week or so later.

Two weeks ago, my sister and I were there getting votive cups for our friend's post wedding bridal shower favors (I should post that story somewhere), and we found glass tea light holders on clearance for 10 cents each. I bought 40, and almost cleaned them out. When I told my FH that we had 40 tealight holders he said "How many!?"

In that same trip, I bought 40 snowflakes as well, at 50 or 75% off, I can't remember. My sister and I told my mom that we got "80 things for $7.00!!!" We sounded like little girls...lol.

While were there two weeks ago, we found the natural pine garland that I wanted. We roughed out the number of table I'll probably have (you have to picture us hunched over the cart using her calculator) and figured that the garland, even at 50% off was going to cost me $80.00 - we left the garland in it's bin at the store.

This past Saturday, I was visiting Pat Catan's again for supplies to make centerpieces and baby sock corsages for my sister's baby shower. The first sign I saw was CHRISTMAS CLEARANCE ALL 75% OFF! I grabbed my cart and grabbed 21 6 foot pieces of natural pine garland for $50.00!

I took my prized pine to my parents house to store it and my dad said "You bought what?!?" FH said "You bought how many?!?"

Wonder what I'll find on my next trek to the store?

My best friend loves Pat Cataan's. I personally have never been to one. But I hear that they have everything. Maybe you could call around to some mor ein the area to see if they have anything else you might need. You and your sister could do a Pat Cataan's day and just hit them all. Anything you don't need you could just Ebay after the wedding. Congrats on all your super good deal buys though.

I'm right there with you! I caught ivy on sale for 2.00 for a 9' strand...I got six...I need to get more and I'm kicking myself for not getting more then. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going to get the vases for the bms' bouquets (that are going on the catering table...if there's room) there or rent them. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE Pat Catans! They really do have EVERYTHING!

I can't wait until this weekend because I get to go shopping for the beads for my hair pins. That's my project this weekend...along with one bm dress with my FMiL...I figure if I space them out, we won't have driven each other nuts by the time we reach the wedding!

Kelli,
My sister bought inexpensive vases for the BM's boquets on the head table. It was great to be able to bring the boquet home (they are silk) and have something to put it in.

Mom put blue glass marbles in the bottom so it looked like water and not a cheap-o vase just thrown on the table. In fact, I caught the throw away boquet and that has a vase a well.

I still have them and cherish them. It might be nice if your BMs get to keep their boquets in, if they're silk.

The bms bouquets are real, so the vases will have water in them...not marbles. I have to check with the florist to see how high they'll be to figure how tall the vase will be...they're tulips, so I'm worried that they'll bow over if the vase is too short. We're worrying about this for the ceremony as well, but the florist said to have them in water right up until the ceremony and they should be fine. She also suggested having water nearby for them to chill in inbetween pics. We'll see what we can rig up.

My FSIL had beautiful pink and cream French tulips as her bridal and bridesmaids bouquet. They held up beautifully through the entire evening. They were completley wrapped in white satin at the stem so I don't know if they had little water resereve in there or not. But they didn't have a problem with them at all.

I wish I had one of those stores near me. I have never even heard of that store so I have a feeling it would be a long ways away.
