Ok, so I have been going back and forth on centerpiece ideas for a long time. I want something that is not going to cost a lot- preferably pretty cheap- but yet looks very stunning.
This is our venue
We are going to have a smaller walkway than the first pic, and an open area in front of everything for the dance space like the second.

I really wanted to do something substantial for the centerpieces since they are really the only decorations there. I think they need some height, any ideas???

I like the height of these and thought about using pink lights, I prices all the things to DIY and it came you to about $50 a table.

So I told my mom I have always liked this tree. I have had an article in my idea folder for almost 3 years

I love your location. It is so pretty. I love the last picture you posted. If you could make the centerpieces tall and thin, it would make it ideal for people to see around them. I think the tree ideas are very elegant and would amazing in your location.

I am thinking a scaled down version around 3-4 ' tall. We are only having about 25 tables and they will be spaced apart so people will have no problems walking through when everyone else is seated. Would it be a bit much to have one tree thing on every table, do I put one on every other one? :purplex: I am making myself so lost.
I am thinking just get the branches this winter and let the dry out and get stiff. any idea what type of tree would be the best? FH is a foreman at a concrete company, so I could set the branches in concrete for free, then they would have a base that will not tip over. It could be covered with draped satin or something...
I like the branches natural and it looks very romantic, but will it go with Hot Pink and Black? I can work in the pink with fake orchids, but the black?? do I paint the branches silver, white, black, HELP!!
I did find these beaded curtains, that I can cut apart -they are 35"x70" for only $19!!

Thank You! I do want to keep everything out of the line of sight and little kids fingers! I was thinking putting them on a raised base about 6" and keeping all the crystals 18"-24" above the table. I will not have the thick amount of crystals I like the pic with the orchids better also!

That's a really good price for the crystals. One of those curtains should go pretty far, if you know what I mean. The brown of the tree would depend on what you have on your table, I think. What colors are your linens. If they are black or white, I think the brown would look find. Brown and pink looks good usually also, so you shouldn't have too many problems I don't think.

I am having white tablecloths with black and white plates and black napkins. I am worried that if I go for the "look" like the pic with the orchids that it will not match, everything is very clean cut looking...black & white and the splashes of hot pink.:urgh:
I need opinions: Will an unpainted branch look put of place, what color should I paint them?:purplex:

I LOVE the idea of the branches with crystals hanging down!
You know, winter is here... take a walk in your backyard/neighborhood/park/etc... pick up a TON of branches, and you can toss out what you don't end up needing.
I think it might look nice to spray paint them either white or black (I think both would be nice). If you got maybe fishing line, or just white string and tied them on the branches, and just but ONE crystal at the end, and all the strings hanging at different lengths... that could still be a pretty stunning centerpiece idea without costing nearly as much as even that beaded curtain!
Good luck!
