Well I am officially starting my journal! I promised myself to wait until the wedding to start - I wanted to fully enjoy the wedding stuff and now I can fully enjoy the baby stuff!

No real updates or anything, except that we were married on Sunday and it was great!! It was a very pleasant time and I enjoyed it.

Now I just need to get through the last 4 weeks of class... I can't wait for Christmas!!

Yay you started a journal! First off, congratulations on the wedding. I'm so glad to hear everything went well. I was thinking about you this weekend and wondering how everything went.

No this is not it for school for me.... b/c I am the teacher! http://www.babyraising.com/forums/images/smilies/bblol.gif I always say "school" and "class" when I talk about my job... I mean it IS work, but for some reason I don't use that language heh...

I had my appointment yesterday. Just a routine one... pee in the cup, listen to the heartbeat, answer any questions with the doctor. I decided to get screened for cystic fibrosis b/c JT's sis said that when she had her baby, she was identified as a carrier for cf. Hopefully I won't be one, and that will be the end of that.

Next appt is the diabetes test. I have to drink the stuff then wait an hour. I hope I pass b/c if I don't the next test is THREE hours.

I finally bought some fat clothes yesterday!! I had put it off as long as possible - again I wanted to wait til after the wedding! I got a pair of jeans from the Gap, 2 sweatpants and 2 sweaters.

Glad to hear things are going well. The stuff you have to drink for the GD test is gross! At first sip it tastes like orange soda, but it leaves a nasty after taste. Good luck with the test!
Ahh, finally moving into fat clothes. You managed to put it off quite a bit!

I teach college!! Communication courses... 8 more class days, then exams!

We're in the same boat. I have my glucose test coming up on Monday.
I'm jealous- I've been in the fatty clothes for awhile now! I'm glad you were able to hold out!

well... I haven't been in my "normal" pants for over a month now... I have been limited to my 3 pairs of fat pants that I already had.

I don't have any pics of me showing off my tum, and that probably won't happen, I am just too self conscious ... but here is a picture from the wedding day a couple weeks ago... my friends are being silly admiring my hair.. you can kind of tell I am a little swollen if you stare hard enough, but not too much showing yet!!! (I was about 21 weeks at this time)

WELP I had another appt today... the nurse there really gets on my nerves. She is such a Type A personality and it is just too much. She already wanted to know my pediatrician! I lied and said I had an appt to talk to one at such-and-such practice.. sheesh...

Ennyhoo, I took the gestational diabetes test and passed just fine. I don't know what other practices make you do, but I envisioned a gallon of nasty syrup to drink. All they gave me was 4 ounces of sunkist. ??? No big deal. Maybe if I didn't pass this one, there was a bigger, badder one waiting? Just FYI in case people try to scare any of you with that!

You sure it was sunkist? The stuff they give you normally is kind of like orange pop, but after about 3 sips its gross.

Glad the tests came out ok! I remember that...I think I had the lime..I agree it wasn't too bad, just really really sweet. It gave me horrible indigestion afterwords! During my first pregnancy though I could look at something and get indigestion from it!!

I'm jealous! I think the bottle I had to drink was 8-10 oz. It was ok at first, but the after taste really got me. Guess different practices do the testing different ways. Glad you tested ok though!

It's been a while since I was out here... everything is going well, I have been pretty lucky. Just a few minor annoyances and discomforts that I won't bore you with (or gross you out heh)

I can't believe how close I am to the end... it is still kind of surreal to think I am going to have my very own HUMAN!!! :bblol:
