Someone might've already posted this at some point, but I'm just wondering what everyone is getting for their girlies for gifts. I'm contemplating making them their wedding jewelry and giving them a vera bradley makeup bag - thoughts? What's everyones' plan??

I am creating a little goodie bag for each of my 7 girls.

Here's the bag I ordered with the name of each girl:

In the bag...

chain with one of these hand dipped pendants on it:http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e102/keelyhealthnut/random010.jpg

&

a little bundle of tissues with "Tears of Joy. Tears of laughter. Tears of happily ever after" sticker
Bobby pins
Band aids
Mints
Hershey's kiss rose
heart shaped silver compact mirror
$5 starbucks gift cardWith a notecard that has a little poem saying why everything is in the bag
http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e102/keelyhealthnut/weddingstuff033.jpg

I think that's all, but I may add a few more small things.

OMG! Yall's stuff is soooo cute! I love those boxes Bradysmom! What a great find!

Oh yeah ... KMS - what does your poem say? I know you mentioned that it explained why those items were in the bag. Just wondering b/c I am thinking of doing a kit like that too!

Here's a very rough draft of the poem and I've changed some of the gifts so I'm not exactly sure if it matches the items anymore...

Bridesmaid’s Survival Kit

This survival kit was made just for you,
So you can be cared for all the day through.

I hope that no tears should fall from your eye,
But here is a tissue if you should cry,

A mirror to look at your beautiful face,
So convenient it will fit in any small place.

Band-Aids if your shoes hurt you today,
You can take them off once Chad whisks me away!

I hope that a bright smile is upon your face,
Some mints should help to keep it in place.

It’s so much fun to dress up in our diamonds and pearls,
So here are bobby pins to help manage those curls.

A cd of music to recall this day,
so the memories never fade, come what may.

Some hugs and kisses for my dearest friends,
Our journey together has no end.

Thank you so much for all you have done,
Your support, your love, and all of the fun!

I hope this kit helps you and brings some glee,
It’s just a little thanks from this bride-to-be!

I got the bags at www.justembroideredtotes.com (http://www.justembroideredtotes.com). Great service and great products!

I haven't really thought much about what to give my MOH (no BMs). I know that I am making a necklace for her, but other than that... she knows I'm broke, so I don't think she expects anything... I hope!

Everyone has great ideas/suggestions. Keely i love your poem - its adorable! So there is this woman named Jennifer Candon that designs jewelry - her stuff is really nice and not terribly pricey - well a bit pricey but if its the main gift for your girlies I think its worth it. Here's her website if anyone is interested:
www.jennifercandon.com (http://www.jennifercandon.com) shes super friendly - I emailed her and she is going to try and design a different piece for each of my bms incorporating our wedding colors- she rocks!

I got jewelry for my girls. I can't show you though, because then Cristy (my MOH) will see. Don't want to ruin the surprise!

i found someone that does caricature drawings. if you send pictures of you, each of your bridesmaids, the dresses they are wearing, your dress etc-- they make a drawing for you with you and all your girls in wedding attire. i thought i was SOOOO cute :) im not doing it (fh wasnt thrilled with the idea, i thought it was cute)
but ill look for the person that does it in case anyone wants to know

I am going to fill a tote with relaxation items. Such as bubble bath, lotion, a good book, flip flops, etc. With a note thanking them for all their help and telling them now they should take a day to relax because they deserve it. I'm going to find a better way to say it, but that's the general idea.

I am actually thinking of doing a spa evening the Thursday before the wedding. I found out that Planet Beach has this group special. If you have 7 or more guests, they close early and you get every service for only $10. Plus they provide snacks, you get discounts on product, and you can bring your own movie and drinks (even adult drinks). So I am thinking about paying for a few services for each of them. It will allow us a chance to relax and have some nice girl time too. Will probably invite moms and other close girlfriends, but not pay for their stuff.
It's also a great idea for a bridal shower.

I've purchased glimmer body lotion and bubble bath from Bath & Bodyworks, and pedicure kits that have mini-bottles of pink and brown nail polish ($1 ea at Target!). I saw photo storage boxes on sale at Michael's so will try to get over there and buy some pink and/or brown ones. I'm also scouring the net for necklaces.

I bought everyone's sashes for their dresses from Davids Bridal, I am buying all their green ribbon laces for their shoes, and I bought them all jewelry for the wedding day. I haven't decided if I'm going to get them anything else or not. Here is a pic of the jewelry & one of the green sashes. The necklaces with 2 circles & bigger studs are for my Matron/Maid/Junior Maid of Honor.

I don't know what people normally spend on their wedding party gifts. The sashes were $15, I do not know what the laces will be yet, and the jewelry I got on sale at Herbergers after Christmas for under $7 a piece. I was so excited about that because I really wanted the circle necklace for them. My hubby picked out engraved pocket knives for the guys that were $19 a piece. With 9 people on each side it adds up quickly. I probably would've spent more if I had fewer people. I hope they are happy with them.

I thought I posted in this thread already!

We're most likely doing microplush throws (probably with their initials embroidered), cute flip flops for the reception, and maybe a small duffle-type bag...

I think I'm going with personalized purses. All of my girls carry purses, but every one of them have a different taste. So, I found this website: bags, purses, and totes (http://www.bags-purses-totes.com/purses-handbags.html?sf=1&sd=a#sortblock) I can pick something that would match their taste and personality. I'm estimating roughly $25 per person plus shipping.

Well so far I bought my MOH a tote that comes with stuff to decorate it (shes real crafty), diamond earrings and i'm payin to get her a mani/pedi before the wedding. And I'm not having any BM I am havin a bridesman, who is going to be a chef. I got him an apron that will put him name on and a really cool oven mitt and some dish towels. I don't know if I will get him anything else, don't really know what to get him because he's only 19.
