OK, so I have noticed lately that smells, even common ones seem to bother me. Sometimes I will get a headache and sometimes I will even get a little nauseous.
It seems to start with a mild headache and the smells make it worse. I had a headache most of the day yesterday and felt a little nauseous at dinner then too. I laid down for a while and was fine.
Today I felt fine until I went too long without eating and then I started to get a headache again. My friend took me out to lunch and the place smelled funny to me. I brushed it off and ate and was ok to run a few errands on the way home. But then it has gotten worse sense then.
Today at dinner I felt so bad that I couldn't finish my dinner. I took some pain killers and some anti-nausea stuff, but so far it has not helped. So I may have to go lay down.
I don't know what is wrong with me :(

Are YOU pregnant? :notsure:
;)
But really, that's a pretty common thing w/pregnancy.
Or...have you started any new medications? Sometimes that triggers the sensitivity of how your sniffer works (as well as tastes, sounds, etc).

LOL - I knew someone was gonna ask if I was preggers :geek:
Well I am definitely not pregnant; DH has a vasectomy ;)
I haven't started any new meds or anything; I do have headaches alot and last year (maybe 2 yrs ago now) went to the Dr and thought it might be migraines. I seem to have alot of the symptoms, but the area where migraines are common is not the same in my headaches; migraines are usually in the front or side of the head in one spot and my headaches are always in the back of my head. Sometimes when they are bad the pain will spread to my temples.

I used to have headaches in that area and they would come out of no where and my doctor said that its stress headaches...

Well hopefully, a little swimmer did not get out! I hate to say it but I know TWO people who have kids after a vasectomy, they made their girlfriend and wife have DNA tests to prove it!
I do think Migraines can look differently and feel differently.
Do you actually throw up?

You may want to take a pregnancy test, that is such a common symptom!:whoa:

I've heard of that happening, too! Brandi, I would take a test, just to make sure. It can't hurt, right?

Without jumping on the preggers bandwagon...
I get a similar sensitivity to smells too when I'm getting the start of a migraine, I will suddenly be able to smell every little thing, the last time I had that I was cooking sloppy joe and I had to stop because the smell of the raw hamburger made me gag. So, I wouldnt rule out the migraine theory either.

I am positive that I am not pregnant; sure there is a chance that it can happen, but it usually happens within the 1st year or so after a vasectomy. DH has had his for like 9 yrs and up until a year or so ago (after Drs said not to bother anymore) he had been getting his stuff tested every year to be sure ... so :p If anyone wants to read more I found this (http://www.turnpike.net/~tyler/vasectomy/pregnancy-after-vasectomy.html) ;)
ETA - It is probably some sort of migraine thing, likely brought on by stress :rassberry:

On of my professors had his for over 12 years, and then they were over seas to pick up a child they were adopting, and while there she was like hmm I don't feel well, and she went and got a preg. test and she was pregnant.... So now he always says, two for the price of one... lol
Whatever it is I hope that you figure it out soon, migranes/headaches are never good. I know when I get a migrane all I want to do is curl up in a ball in a dark cold room :(
Haha when I do get preg. smells won't be a sign for me though... I can smell something from a mile away, Matt and I sometimes have convos like this..... "Matt did you fart!" "Jacklynn it literally JUST came out, like as you were saying that... I swear you have the smell of a dog" "Are you calling me a dog?" "Nope, you just smell like one" "I smell like a dog?!" "No you CAN smell as well as a dog" "hmmm well is my nose cold and wet, I thought not....."
haha yes its true... I pretty much can smell everything... sometimes a good thing.... sometimes, well sometimes not haha

Could be cluster headaches

If I develop any other symptoms I will go get a test. But yeah, no babies for me.

haha - you have a super sniffer ;)
I feel ok today so I will try to eat regularly (seems to have something to do with when I wait too long to eat) and not let things get to me today and see what happens.
Thanks everyone :D

I was going to say a Migraine I get those and Smells and sounds and to much excersise really aggrevates them. Also the changing of the seasons etc. A lot can aggrevate that. I hope you are feeling better. ALso the flu is going around which can cause you to have some issues with smells and eating...
