are going to be the death of me!

We've decided to do photo cards this year with a picture of FH and me with our three dogs. Trying to get us all in picture is going to be some serious work, especially since I don't have anyone who can take the picture for us tomorrow. (I have to have my order submitted by the 30th in order to get my discount, and I NEED the discount considering how many we are ordering. LOL)

Anyone else doing photo cards?

i have never done them, but we have received cards like that and i like those photo christmas cards

hope you can find someone to take them....are you doing them at home or what? maybe use the timer on the camera.....

or did you mean professionally done?

I think photo cards are cute, they come in second for my favorite, after the DIY cards... FH and I have thought about doing one with us and all of our animals... make it look like the Brady Bunch squares. :smile:

Yeah, we are planning on using the timer, but I'm wondering how we're going to get all three dogs looking at the camera at the right time.

We tried doing this last year with us and our two dogs, but it didn't work. We tries again with just the dogs and that didn't work so well either.

I was able to get a couple of decent ones of the dogs separatly and I made up a card in photoshop and was gonna have it printed, but ended up just nixing the whole idea. I did email it to a few people though ;)

I did a company photo card, thats about as far as I went. It's posted in the chistmas decor section. Thank God for Photoshop, otherwise would've been charged an arm and a leg.

I am going to do the same thing, but I am not sure if we should take a pic with my puppy or justg have the puppy by himself....Just depends on the difficulty. I just dont know how I am going to make the cards....

you cant find anyone? a neighbor or someone that would be able to do it. co-worker (if you want them to know where you live)

We are def. doing them next year b/c we will be married. But I love the photo cards! Does your camera have a timer? You might just have to take several ones to try to get all the dogs looking in the right direction. But I think the easiest to get the whole gang rounded up and just ask a neighhbor, friend, etc. to take a quick picture. Good luck!!!

We're planning on doing it somewhere on campus, since our campus is so beautiful. Finals are this week and next, so everyone has hectic schedules. Plus, one of our dogs was severely abused (her owner's husband beat and threw things at her), so she is extremely scared of strangers. It takes her a really long time to warm up to other people, even people she's met many times.

Of course, we knew before we adopted her that she would probably never be "normal," but that's exactly the reason we gave her a chance. :) She's come a long way, but she's still got a long way to go. Here she is hanging out in the tent with us on our last camping trip.

Also, our biggest dog is an attention whore. She LOVES people and would be WAY more interested in getting belly rubs from them than sitting to have her picture taken. She would look like this:

Hahaha That would make for one entertaining Christmas card. It would put smiles on the recipients faces, that's for sure! CUTE dogs!

We plan on doing cards next year when we are married. I can't wait for that!!

Why don't you set the timer, have FH already sitting with the dogs, then run in and join them... right before the timer goes off, you could toss a toy near the camera so their heads will turn just in time!
