So we did some hair trials when I was at my mom's and pretty much figured out what to do with my hair.
The biggest problem I have now is finding the right product. I need something that will really hold the curl and volume without making my hair crunchy. So I need something that can be applied to damp hair before or after putting curlers in and does not need to be brushed out to be soft (cause then the curls will brush right out).
Anyone know some good products?

I love the Dove styling lotion. I haven't been able to find it for a few months though...

The BESTEST hair spray in the world is "Freeze it" you can buy it at Wal-Mart and it is not expensive. Basically, if you spray that all over ... your hair is NOT going to fall! It is the BEST. I don't know if you needed a spray or some sort of curl infuser (My hair is naturally straight) But what I would do is take the big hot rollers and take each section of hair and spray my hair with the "Freeze it" then roll it. Then after the rollers cooled ... take them out, style an spray all over!

Thanks! I'll go pick some up and try it out.
I guess the only other question is will it still work the same if I'm doing a wet-to-dry curler instead of a hot roller? I was planning on using those spiral curler wraps and basically you put them in when your hair is damp and let your hair dry (or blow dry it).

I am trying out a new funky do and hate stuff that makes my hair sticky and stiff (crunchy - LOL) so I need to find a good holding product that works without this effect too.
Every hair spray I have ever used is at least a little sticky/stiff. I used this pomade stuff (forget the name) once that was good, but it was a little oily and didn't last long.

You know I am not sure b/c I have never done it that way ... but you could try it and see.... I know that once you spray your hair, you better make sure it is the way you want it b/c it WILL stay! Just make sure you hold the spray about 1/2 a foot away from your hair so it will just mist ... if not ... you will have that hard/crunchy look.
