We just found out that Chris's sister's bf got hit by a car today. He was crossing the road and got hit, not sure if it was accidental. He's got a skull fracture or something and as far as we know its not looking good. We are hoping that she doesn't relapse because of this. So this isn't good in several ways. Please keep him in your thoughts, it would be much appreciated!
Oh I am so sorry! You are in my thoughts!

I understand the double hit of something like this. Fear and prayer for him and HER is needed right now. Its always nerve racking to worry your loved one will relapse while trying to deal with a tragedy, make sure chris reminds her to speak with her sponsar often, and take care of herself, even though this is hard, and make a meeting. (we are talking to same relapse here right??)

His sister is a recovering drug addict. She has been doing so well and then this had to happen. He has made her so happy and we really don't want to lose him.

Like others have said, it is a really good sign if they are willing to have him go through surgery already.
How is Chris' sister holding up so far?

Chris' sister is doing great. I guess he's got frontal lobe damage of the brain, so his personality and stuff has changed. He's kinda talking like a baby according to what they said, he bit a nurse and now has to be restrained. He recognized his mom, so that's good. He doesn't remember what even happened. We think its too early to tell if he's got permanent damage.

I hope things get better for him. I'm glad his sister is doing ok though. Hopefully they will be able to work with him to get him back to his normal self.

Hopefully none of this is permanent! I am glad that he is starting to get better.
What ever happened to the person that hit him?

Glad to hear things are looking up. The brain is an amazing thing in terms of healing. I'll continue to keep you all in my thoughts.

The frontal lobe injury reminds me of my dad stroke, same place, and it changed his personality. It was tough for the first few months, and still is today. So I kinda know what your going through in that aspect. Not easy.
I'll keep sending out those prayers for you. Be strong and keep the faith.

Oh well I don't know about the person who hit him, it was an accident. He was crossing the street in front of a stopped city bus, he must have thought that traffic stops for all buses. That's the only thing we can think of.
