I am determined to get a camcorder at some point before we go on our honeymoon! I just have this fantasy in my head of starting out recording our new life together right after we are married. Does anybody have a good camcorder that they want to praise or any tips on what to look for? I'm thinking that I don't want to spend any more than $300. Is that even possible for a good one? Christmas is coming up so I thought that Chad & I could chip in some as our gifts to eachother and my dad could pay for the rest as a gift to both of us. Help, help!

We actually bought a camcorder at Target for like $89 and its even at Walgreens right now for $49. Its actually pretty good!! We take 4 wheeling videos with it and expected it to be pretty crappy but ended up impressed! He posts all his stuff on You Tube and they are really decent.

I know you probably want a better one but if you were only spending $300 because you thought you had to, you may wanna give this one a shot! If its for honeymoon videos and stuff I think it would be fine.

I am totally open to whatever, $300 is just the max I thought we could pull off. What kind of camcorder is it??? Sounds good to me!

I don't have any recommendations. But I know this site has a lot of user reviews on different electronics including camcorders. You can even search by price. Good Luck, hope you find a good one.

Remember price is not always everything, sometimes you can get a great electronic for a decent price. sometimes the more expensive is junk. Best bet is check electronic stores, and remember the more pixelx in a square inch the better the video will look. Plus digitial is now the latest fad, hook it up to your pc, and you can edit it with multitudes of software.

Well, we went ahead and bought one last night! lol. We used a few Target gift cards that we'd gotten from our showers. It's a $240 Sony Handycam. I did some research online this weekend at a lot of different websites and this one seemed to best meet our needs. We'll play around with it so that we know how to use it well, but we won't really start using it until we leave for our honeymoon. It's gonna be fun. :whoohoo:

KMS I have a camcorder/camera/mp3 palyer gadget that my parents got me for christmas last year. I believe they got it at WalMart or Circuit City... it was approx 100 dollars, and it can fit in a pocket and the material can be transferred to DVD/CD I absolutely love it. We take it on our snowmobiling trips and the picture on the thing is only like 2inches by 2inches but it is awesome....
