Help Me Convince FH To Wear A Brown Tux/Suit!!!

Someone on here (Daisybride??) was talking about brown suits and how everyone was freaked out about the sound of it...but it looked HOT!

So, I need this thread to help convince my FH to think about brown and to show that it's not just 70s. I LOVE the idea!! And it'd match my color theme better than black!

Show me any pictures you find, please!! We're going fairly informal...no ties, etc.

You could show him the pic though and just explain why it looks so good and how it will match better. Hey, he may even like it, and you won't have to convince!

BTW - I tried to get DH to wear a kilt and it was a NO go. If he has his mind made up, you probably won't be able to sway him.

I love the brown suit idea... especially if it matches with your color theme better (as it would mine)... if you're going informal anyhow, this will look better because I think black tuxes look very formal.

Sorry i'm actually not too big of a fan of a brown tux, unless your colors are like brown and pink or brown and blue or something....

So I'm not much help!

But if you really like it, you could go have him try on one, and talk it up about how stinking hot he looks and show him how good it would look.

CANNOT find a picture but if you go to http://www.squirestux.com/ and watch the slideshow on the main page there is a tux simillar to the one that serendipity posted..( the one we are using) i think its very nice looking!

Yes, I'm also still working on FH and the whole brown suit thing. I think he's going to go along with it...just because he knows how much I love it...but he's still not thrilled about it himself. Oh well...the brown looks SO much better than black with my bridesmaids' butter-colored dresses! I'm not sure why guys cringe at the mentioning of brown suits. I think they look great! Black is so boring sometimes!

I also really love the brown tux/khaki/linen type look rather than black tuxes. Our wedding party is growing by the nanosecond and 9 guys in black tuxes at a beach wedding seems a little out of place to me.
