By now a lot of you know that I'm a cat lady, and I'm pretty darn proud of that, because I take good care of my little beebees and love them so so so much.

Well, one of them, Gazali, has been missing since Monday, and I'm freaking out. I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach. Although we haven't "found" him, I don't think he's "here" anymore because it's so cold outside, especially at night. And dear FH keeps saying "but cats don't die because it's cold... they're cats". But I can't help but think that he would want to come back home inside in the warmth if he could, instead of out in the cold.

BUT, we haven't "found" him, so there's hope. He is a pretty cute boy, and maybe a family with a bunch of kids is giving him lots of love, and he's in love with all the loving (at least that's what FH is trying to tell me). We put out flyers today, so maybe someone will call. :bbfrown:

Just needed to get this out, and am asking for your positive energy sent my way.

Oh no!! That's one of the worst feelings...having an animal disappear. Hopefully someone is keeping him warm and well-fed and will see your fliers!!

Big time positive thoughts for you and kitty!!

Does he go outdoors at other times? Has he got all his claws?

If so, try not to worry .... he's got a nice warm fur coat and a way to defend himself if need be. He's likely mousing, showing the neighbours how cute he can be or he's found himself a nice girl kitty and he is too busy to call home :)

Oh I am so sorry, and I would be really worried too. But your FH is correct, lots of cats live out side all year and they are fine. Hope you find him soon!

I'm hoping that you've found him. I love my kitty as well. She's 13 years old and a few years ago she got out and got lost in the neighborhood. I was so hysterical and scared for days. Then she just cave walking in the back door a few days later. :notsure:

My thoughts are with ya. Good luck hun.

Hoping for the best for you and your cat!

I know I would be a mess if one of my babies (I have dogs) were missing!

Ok, still no Gazali.

Serendipity, yes he has his claws and he does go outside often, but I'm still worried sick. I guess with the fliers, someone would have called by now if they had him. Sometimes, he'd meow as if he were lost, even when he was in the house, because he couldn't see/find us. I just keep picturing him outside.

I'll definitely let you guys know if he comes home!

Thanks for all the thoughts!

I hope he returns safely. Just thought this might make you feel a little better. We found a kitty sleeping under my car a few weeks ago. And it is very cold here at night. We took him in for three days. He had the sleep in the basement because my dog got jealous. We asked around the neighborhood if any knew who's cat it was. Turns out the owners were on vacation and the cat got out. He was returned safely to his owns after we had him for three days. Moral is there is lot of animal loving folks out there, hopefully someone took him in, ask around your neighborhood.
