Ok, PLEASE TELL ME IF THIS SOUNDS CRAZY OR CORNY!
I was tooling around looking at different decorations (general decorations) and I found directions for making serving trays out of picture frames (they put fabric in it). We will have the drinks for the toast served to us and I've been looking for something that would look nice for us to serve them on (I HATED having to walk to a table to get my drink for the toast at my brother's wedding). So I thought I would do the frame idea with a picture of us inside of it instead of fabric. I'm not sure how this will look...if it will look any good at all...I may do just the fabric, but I thought I'd bounce the ideas off of you guys first.
So...BOUNCE!

That tray is too cute! And ya it probably was on the DIY website that I saw it...
I thought about doing a collage or something...I'll have to run my FH over with it...but keep bouncing anyways! :)

If it is like the top picture that was posted, than it looks really cute. Try one out and let us know how it goes.

I"ve never seen that before. It's a really cute idea and something that will be great to display after you are married. I really like both ideas, but think the picture one will be great to hang up after the wedding.

I think that would be a great way to serve your guests for the toast.
And after the wedding you can have your Husband serve you breakfast in bed on it!!;)

Those trays are a very cute idea Kelli! I like it. Now Im thinking about if I need something like it or not. Hadnt thought about how everyone was gonna get their drinks. :bbconfused: I guess if we go with the idea Brian had a few months ago and make it BYOB then everyone would have their coolers right there by their tables and wouldnt even have to get up!;)

I guess this is sort of my way of hiding the fact that it isn't going to be alcohol...if they pour it in the kitchen and then bring it out...no one will know.
I think I'm going to go with a larger frame and some drawer handles like on the diy thing, and then take some ribbons to split it up so I can put little pictures in it. Now I just have to find an inexpensive frame...lol
Thanks you guys!

hehe :bblol: ... with or without the alcohol, the serving thing adds a nice touch ;)

I would try Michaels or Hobby Lobby, they usually have good deals (if you have those out there) or some local craft store. Or the the 'borg' (Walmart)
:goodluck: with all that :)

Oh how I miss Hobby Lobby! When I lived in Texas, I used to go walking around that store just looking at everything (I very rarely could afford to buy). That was heaven!
I remember seeing some frames at wally world that were relatively inexpensive, and I thought I would look online as well...see what I could find. Although, I have to admit, now that I work in the section of a major company that deals entirely with the mistakes in shipping, I'm a little bit worried about ordering online; I know it's silly, but I am. You guys wouldn't BELIEVE some of the problems our distributors have!

Just make sure that the back of the frame is really in their securely. And that the backing and glass are heavier material. You don't want them giving out as the servers enter with drinks.
