I LOVE showing off my "kids!" They were all rescued from death row at the local shelter.

Princess, our oldest girl at 11. We think she is an Australian Cattle Dog/Border Collie mix. Her foster mom named her Princess, and she would get so excited if you called her a "pretty, pretty princess," so we decided to keep the name. She is my heart dog.

Next, is Benjamin. He was a foster failure and is very attached to FH. We think he is around 10 or so, and he is very typical of a Chihuahua...thinks he HUGE. He's proof that you can find even the small, purebred dogs in animal shelters.

The youngest is Ginger, who is around 4-5 years old. She was literally minutes away from dying in the gas chamber when we adopted her. We think she is a poodle/yorkie/chihuahua mix...She was recently featured in Dogster's "Year of the Dog" movie (starring Molly Shannon) calendar as Miss October.

Here is my little guy, he is a 6 month long haired chihuahua. His name is Tyson!
When we first got him he was only a little over a pound and ended up having parvo, but he pulled through and is as hyper as ever!!

My Angel Rain. Haha, she doesn't take pictures very well.. Shes SO LOVEY.. But doesn't feel that was towards out new kitty, yet at least.. lol. We got her outside of a kmart.. The person giving them away had to get rid of them because they were scared their doggie would attack them (again).. Shes got a little nip on her ear. :( Shes 8 now.

Marshmallow. We just got her a few weeks ago. Our officiant had a kitten problem under her porch. We took her because they couldn't find a home for the poor baby. Luckily, she was the only one of the litter! Shes such a booger.. But she is determined to have her sissy like her! she'll stalk poor Angel all day.. Lol :heart:

This is my baby Chewie, she's 13 and I've had her ever since she was 8 weeks old, Chewie is pretty tiny, she hovers between 9 and 10 lbs.

R.I.P my baby Buttercup, May 22 2006 =( She was my baby but we had to put her down when she was 5 years old because of heart disease... Milo is related to her, they shared a mother. And Buttercup's brother from her litter is Milo's dad... yeah, he really IS inbred.

In their typical position even staring at me as I type at my computer. Fizzgig is the black and white long haired lady piggun :) Named after one of my favorite characters from an old 80's movie. Kudos if you know which! She's not the average guinea...loves to perch on top of her pigloo. And then there is our boar, Otis. He is a whopping three years old now and a red crested. Fizzgig is a "mutt" of the guinea pig world.

I love dogs and will someday have a few, but we can't afford the deposit, or the time right now. As for cats, I like to look at them but HATE litter boxes, and have massive allergies. I'm currently trying to talk FH into some form of lizard. Maybe a Chinese Water Dragon or a Crested Gecko. Mmmmm.

This is Gomer. He is a big, sweet mama's boy. He is 8 years old and weighs 15 pounds (but he carries it very well, he is "big boned" LOL). He is my sweetie, he sleeps with me and demands to be cuddled like a teddy bear.

This is the only furbaby pic I have on my computer right now. I have another kitty, Goober (from the same litter as Gomer) and it would only be fair to post him as well!

My turn!!!!

This is Hina. She is an 8/9/10 year old border collie/lab mix. We got her as a stray. She went home with my old boss's parents dog. They couldn't keep her so after posting signs and no one claiming her, we went to meet her...she gave me a sweet little kiss and the rest is history! She's been with us since the beginning of our relationship. About 2 months after we started dating.

Then came 6 year old lab/pit mix Zoya. (I went through a Danielle Steel phase...) My mom got her for me for Christmas . She was way too young to come home with us but the lady gave her to us anyhow...good thing though because a few nights after we got her, her siblings died in a house fire started by one of those little portable heaters. Poor babies.

Next we have Kelso. He's our only purebred dog. He is a 4 year old yellow labrador retriever. He is awesome. Has the best personality. He's definitely special. He absolutely adores Scott.

And last but not least we have Charlie. He is a 2 year old border collie mix. He is my baby. We went into petsmart one saturday for fish and we went over to where they were having an adoption day to play with the puppies for a few minutes. We met Charlie and he was just the cutest thing!!! So...instead of walking out with fish that day, we walked out with a new puppy.

My dogs are all named after forms of entertainment. Hina was named after the sublime song Santeria. Zoya was named after the book Zoya by Danielle Steel. Kelso was named after Kelso from That 70's Show, which is my FAVORITE show ever! And Charlie was named after Charlie Buckett from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

This is Dax. My mom left for work one day and heard him crying. I went out and found him and he was sick. His eyes were all gucked up and he had a sinus infection. I took him to the vet and took care of him. Once he got better, I took him back up the hill where we found him. He came back and hung out at our back door, so we took him in.
His name is Dax because he needed to be taken care of to survive.

This is Worph. My stepdad found her in an alley and brought her home, when she was a kitten. She got her name because her claws don't retract so she is a clingon (or whatever).

This is data, or baters. He is my cat. We got him from a friend when he was a baby. He is a long haired flamepoint Siamese. He got his name because he is white like Data. He's currently injured :( He did something to his paw and has been limping. I am taking him in for an x-ray next week.

Here is our baby girl, ANDI!!! (Andromeda) She is a Miniature Pincher, turned 4 in Sept, and is definitely a Daddy's girl!!! Here is our daughter, Sadie! She is 10 years old tomorrow. I adopted her at the Human Society in South Florida....she was a product of divorce. :(
Anyways, she is a Long-Haired Chihuahua but by looking at her, I think she is a mix of a L.H. Chihuahua and Pomeranion. I've had her for only 5 years.
I love Sadie more than I love my F.H........shhh....don't tell him!

you are right they are pugs....just really big ones! They do have longer legs and their noses are not as flat as they typically should be, but to be I like that better. I find they don't have breathing problems and snore a bit, but no snorting or raspy breathing due to a flatter face, as well as they have had no eye problems since their eyes aren't quite as buggy and their nose wrinkles aren't pushed into their eye area which can cause the eyelashes to roll into the eye which requires surgery. So they could never "show" since they don't have the classic text book look, but we love the way they look and selected them for that very reason!

She's a 13" beagle...so one of the shorter breeds. But she's currently working on a weight issue, so she's about 32 pounds. LOL

I had another 13" beagle who was around 25 pounds...that was more normal. :whoa:

Nah, Moxie didn't reach full capacity until she was a little over a year old. Hehe! I've had 3 beagles and all were about the same, I guess.

This is Bo. He was about 6 months in this picture and I'd guess he was about half his full size (around 25 lbs). So that sounds about right.

I have a cocker too!!! Arn't they the sweetest dogs??? Does your's follow you EVERYWHERE? Lilah, HAS to always be right beside me, on me or around me or she whines like crazy. She is so spoiled b/c I let her have her way.... It is so hard for me and FH to have "baw chicka waw waw ..." b/c we have to lock her up in another room and turn up the radio so we don't have to listen to her whine.... Ok - overshare here! Sorry!!

Mine can't be without me, the little one always needs to be with me. When my husband goes to bed the big one goes with him and the little one goes with me. At night time they both sleep in our bed right up next to us. Do you have a picture of yours?

LOL..she is a very fun fur kid. Hopefully after we are married, we will get another one.

I am off to our agility class right now, and I am so tired, I don't feel like running around the ring for an hour!

ADORABLE!!! That's exactly what Kingsley does in snow drifts! He loves to burrow as far as he can into them! You have an adorable dog :)

I gotta give love to my old puppy shadow.. He was the same age Dani and i were growing up.. He lived to be 12 :( I miss my good doggie! He'd let us put him in a dress and high heels once.. Didn't even care O.o;

Thanks! She is so fun. Doug took this picture of us while we were on a ski vacation this past February. It is actually a pile of snow from being plowed in a parking lot, someone carved the hole and we climbed around the back so it looks like we are in a cave. :)
