This is another email I got today that I thought I would share ...

Can you imagine working for a company that has little more than 500 employees and they have the following statistics:

- 29 have been accused of spousal abuse

- 7 have been arrested for fraud

- 19 have been accused of writing bad checks

- 117 have directly or indirectly bankrupted at least 2 businesses

- 3 have done time for assault

- 71 cannot get a credit card due to bad credit

- 14 have been arrested on drug-related charges

- 8 have been arrested for shoplifting

- 21 are currently defendants in some sort of lawsuit

- 84 have been arrested for drunk driving in the last year

Can you guess which organization this might be?

Give up yet?

It's the 535 members of the United States Congress. The same group of idiots that crank out hundreds of new laws each year designed to keep the rest of us in line!

So how lucky you Internationals have it...oh to be Canadian! I've never been to any other country but Canada and Jamaica, and I wouldn't want to be Jamaican (I don't like hurricanes) so no offense to the Inties from other countries, I'm sure if I went there, I'd probably want to be from your country too--as long as there aren't hurricanes. :)

Funny...neither can I! As far as our next election goes, I'd really like to see who's going to follow in good ole' baby bush's footsteps...

(In case you don't know, the above comment about bush being good...sarcastic...VERY sarcastic!)

Sometimes when I think about all the problems here, I think of moving to Canada, but it is too cold there ;)

I have never been out of the US. Oh, wait ... I went to the Bahamas on our honeymoon :D But I don't think I'd want to live there either. Oh well, I am just gonna go with my plan to move to Flordia and retire there and just not think about all the issues ;)

I have to agree with Shawna; lower Ontario has weather quite comparable to Detroit area or Ohio (depending on how close to the lakes you are). And it was ALWAYS warmer in Sault, Ontario than in Sault, Michigan (something about Sault, Michigan being on the side of a hill so it didn't get as much sun). Ok, so it was only a couple of degrees...but it was still warmer.

The only reason I won't move to Canada is that both my FH and I have a passion for a certain collection of items we're not allowed to have in Canada...hand guns. Now, before you go, oh that's violent, I'd like to point out that I'm a pacifist and I don't even squash flies that get in the house...I just like the technology and beauty behind something that was created to be so fierce. And I understand Canada's law against them...Windsor has WAY less crime than Detroit does...and you can throw a stone between the two!

Ok, I'm done babbling...sorry y'all.

I do believe that if you have the right License and the hand guns are registered you can have them here in Canada. My husband and I have guns ourselves. Three rifles and one very high powered rifle. We both have the appropriate licenses and registration for our guns. (we have them because we used to live on a farm and sorry to all you animal lovers but there is a pest here we call gophers (aka prairie dogs) that eat all our crops (namely canola) so we have to keep their populations down.) In my whole family (about fifty people) I am the only female who has their gun license or owns a gun....lol....I know I shouldn't be proud of this, but I am because I know how to safely use and transport guns. And by law, I can legally use one and buy one from a store. Ok like the pp, I am finished babling now...lol.

I may be wrong, seeing as how I'm not Canadian, but I believe that hand guns are not allowed but rifles are. Seeing as how hunting is a Canadian tradition...lol.

I could be wrong though. By the way, you should be proud of your licensure. The fact that you made the effort to do that makes you a responsible individual. :)

My apologies to all of the people out there who are anti-gun.
