Well i feel like iam running outta time. i really havent got much done with the wedding yet. i still have everything to buy and i only have 3 months till the wedding. so far i have the place booked and the guest list done. i ordered the inviations on friday which they should be done in a week cause the place makes them right there. so i basically alls i have done is the place the reception and ceremony is being held. i have the judge booked and thats pretty much it. iam hoping that everything else will kinda fall into place. all the food for the wedding is being made by myself, my mom and my FH's mother and grandmother. iam not doing an actual dinner iam just doing liek side dishes.... we are making macaroni salad,potato salad, ziti, colesaw,meatballs,wings etc..... iam also doing a purple and white colored theme for the wedding, iam planning on purple table clothes with white rose petals spread all over the table.

THe colors sound nice. I am also using the petals on the tables. Take a look at my Journal and any of the others to get ideas. I found a nice site that is not expensive at all. Check out my journal. I'm using lavender and ivory as my colors. And, for the flowers, check to see if there are any local wholesalers around. If not, you can order 50 roses at www.pickapetal.com for about $60. They also have white rose petals for $40 a bag, and one bag ought to be enough. You could always go to the supermarket and buy some flowers there. The Costco we have has awesome flowers too. I think that is probably what I will be doing.:D

I think iam going to make my own bouquet and the one for my maid of honor. i will probably get the flowers from like walmart or something and just make one. cause the are so expensive. i will be buy the boutineers and the corsages at a flower shop tho.

I'm getting my corsages from a flowr shop. I only need, like, three of them. You can get the flowers from CostCo for pretty cheap (though you need a membership). I'd sudjest ordering them online if possible, because Grocery Store/Walmart flowers are usually a little older, therefore not so fresh, and more damaged looking.

What kind of flowers are you going with? I told you about pickapetal.com, but there are also wholesale flower shops who will sell them to you for the cheapest. I'm going to look at what the one here has to see if I can find some clovers. I'm using them in my bouquet, my mom, my dad, and my brother's stuff. My little brother died in August, so the clovers are a rememberance of him.

Things seem to be going along ok for now. lol. On your bouquet......look at the craft stores. They sometime have already made up bouquets with different colored flowers for about $10. I got one with white roses, ivy and babys breath, tied with a white satin ribbon.....absolutely gorgeous....from Michaels for $5. It was normally $9.99 but they had all their wedding stuff half off.

I'm telling you sweetie--use some Jordan Almonds for the favors. Affordable and traditional, and you can get them in ANY color. Maybe those and a votive? I got a dozen votives, candle poured right into the glass, for $5. You could get sticker sheets printed with your names, the date, etc.. I know that Cindy ordered those bags and they were pretty big.. Just my idea! :bbmrgreen:

Yeah i bought after dinner mints to put into bags. and iam gonna get like tags with it saying "thanks for sharing our special day with us. and then our names and date. I still have to get joe down to rent a tux. and decide on what kinda food we are gonna do. and decide on our song. i finally got a song picked out for me and my dad:

I will be talking to the DJ tonite. I have all the songs picked out it except mine and joes of course. lol. Joe rented his tux so that is done, and his brothers are going to rent theres today.
I had my shower on Saturday it was great. i got a microwave,non-stick pots and pans,a dining room table set, a few photo albums, about 5 really nice picture frames, a money box that turns into a keepsake box, 2 guest books, 2 things of lingerie:bbredface: ,glass casserole dishes,tableclothes w/placemates, towels, 50 dollar gift card to walmart,40 dollars and a 50 dollar money order. and i cant remember what else. but for only 14 people coming at the party thats not bad. i hope to make out as good at the wedding as well. we are hoping to get more money then presents, cause after the shower there isn't much we need for the house now. and we could really use the extra cash. :bblol:

The necklase is really beautiful! I love things like that that have alot of history and meaning behind them. I was given a pair of diamond earings that were Mark's grandmothers. I thought it would be a really nice way for us to remember her since she past away this past christmas.

So everything SEEMS to be going ok. I've got the things i need to put the favors together. and we bought the wedding bands yesterday.
my only problem is my parents dont know if they can pay for the hall now cause they went and did there taxes and ended up owing(spll) $800 and then got a gas delivery of $500 so we'll see. might have to end up paying for it ourselves. :bbmad: my mom said she might be able to pay for it. i sure hope so cause they said that they would. the hall isnt expensive its $125 and u get $75 of it back if u clean up after. SO it's not like its an outrageous amount or anything

Still getting the music all together Joe wanted to burn a cd. and etc... need to still give the wedding party list and etc to the DJ. its a woman who does it on the side so its not like some big huge dj or anything but it suites our wedding. casual and still yet nice lol.

getting nervous now that its 21 days away AHHHHH. just two problems i hope i dont come across #1 having a bad stomach ache(i have a disease called crohns which is where i get sick with a stomach ache and runs all the time so iam nervous i will have that problem at the wedding) #2 having my period ugghhh i hope not!!!!!!!! if i dont have any of those 2 things it will be great!!! iam sure i will still get a stomach ache i did at the shower cause of my nerves, they always get the better of me. unfortunetly.

It would really, really be bad luck to have your period on your wedding day. Back in the olden days, if we really, really didn't want or couldn't have our period on a certain weekend or day, we would just continue taking our birth control pills through those days and that would stop your period from ever coming. Looking back, I don't know how protected we really were by doing stuff like that. Of course, if you aren't on the pill, I don't know how you could stop it from coming.

That is how I "Moved" mine. I am on the pill and skipped the week I was supposed to start, and I continued to take pills for another week (which was all I wanted to move it). Then I stopped the pills so I could start. Then started over with the pills. It worked for me, but you could be right Karen. It may not be the most effective birth control for a couple weeks.

If your still taking your pills your protected. They even have a pill now that lets you only have a period every 3 months and women with endometriosis (sp?) a lot of their doctors have been having them skip the "sugar pills" and just start another pack.

So my Mom got some of the flowers for the arch today along with some other type of thing to put on the tables its like grass u use to put in easter baskets but its paper. not to sure if i will use it or not. she got 6 bags!!!! lol. Went and got the marriage license taken care of yesterday. so thats done with!!! and my mom gave me most of the money for the hall. i just have to put 25 towards it no big deal. and she did say that she will pay for the judge. i had given her our old run down car that wasnt worth much of anything i told her she could have it for 100 but today i said if u pay for the judge you can take the car. So.... i told my Fh that i didnt really want my parents paying for anything else. they bought everything for the wedding. my dress, shoes, tablecloths,silverwear,napkins, flowers(iam using fake), tiara, my daughters dress, pillow, guest book, money box etc....... and his mom hasnt bought anything at all and shes the one with more money then my parents. the only thing she is paying for is the dj. she hasnt even told me what kind of food she planning on making for the wedding. the only defient things being made is:

So i went into the center we are using for the wedding/recpetion and its bigger then i remembered it to be!! now i felt the nerves really bad when i went in there. ahhh. cant believe its 10 days away now. and do u think i have everything done??? NOOO. i still have to make up 20 favors, get more flowers for the arch and get the food. ahhh. PLUS the dj we picked. which i called her like 3 weeks ago and everything was fine. now my FMIL's b.f gave the lady the music we wanted etc.... and NOW she refuses to do the wedding b/c me and my FH wanted rock to played at the wedding, and she said and i quote that if she played that music she would leave there with a screaming headache and so will everyone else!! and that she told me 3 weeks ago that all she plays is country and oldies. BULL she didnt tell me anything like that. ahhh so with 10 days away we dont have DJ as of now!!!

It was for Halloween last year, but the picture was taken just last week, because Malachi had to wear it to Grandma's house. I kept asking him if he was hot in it, but he insisted on keeping it on. I tried to get him to at least take the hat part off, but he was not having it. His birthday is 10/04/02, when is your daughter's birthday? I wanted to see how close they are in age.

I made a hair appointment heres the pic of the hairstyle i like i'am 90% postivie that this is what i'm sticking with lol. but i will probablly have like to strains of hair hanging down and curled b/c i dont have bangs. That is a really nice updo! I have a couple similar ones on my journal.
I kinda like the bit of fring in the front. I always think my head looks like a bowling ball in pictures where it is slicked back. I hope to have some more softness arround my face.
I'm sure the hair stylist will do something that suits you perfectly. Take your camera so you can get photos so she won't forget.

Here is the way I figured out to wear my hair up. How do you wear it every day? Do you wear it up every day or down? Does it get on your nerves when you wear it down. If ist going to bother you when 50 million people hug you and pull on it all evening? How does your hair hold curl? Will it actually keep it's style? I know, a lot to think about. But, no matter what, it will perfect, I'm sure.
