Ive been thinking alot about the way I want my wedding to feel and I sort of have this vintage old Hollywood look in mind, something glamorous and retro... but I'm having a hard time bringing this idea to life. Does anyone have any ideas to help me out?

Do a Google search on "birdcage veils." I'm thinking about getting one for myself, and it has that old Hollywood feel!

We're incorporating alot of vintage touches into our surprise wedding.
I'm wearing a tea-length, pink, vintage inspired dress created by Whirling Turban
I'll be sporting a vintage cocktail hat or fascinator with a birdcage veil
Our ceremony reception is being held at a jazz club
My bouquet is made up of old broken jewelry, my grandmothers brooch...
Bob will be wearing a suit, no tuxes for us, and a fedora or bowler style hat
We're going swing dancing at a local saloon afterwards
Do you have any ideas already nailed down or photos that we could all use for inspiration? I'd love to help!

Other tips...
Have a few of your wedding photos printed in B&W or sepia tone, or use a grain filter in Photoshop to obtain an aged look.
Have your future hubby wear a white dinner jacket and black pants ala Cary Grant. Pin stripe suits, sharkskin or gaberdine are also very vintage-esque. Don't forget a thin silk tie. Some of them have amazing deco graphics. Wingtip shoes are also popular.
Rent a classic car from the era your are trying to replicate. Give you groomsman the job of hanging a "Just Married" sign from the bumper.
Wear or re-fashion your mothers/grandmothers gown, garter and/or jewelry
Hire someone from your local swing dance chapter to perform or give an impromptu dance lesson at your reception. Or better yet, take a few classes yourself so that you and your beau can really cut a rug! :)
Think outside the box when it comes to booking your venue. Check out local theatres, jazz clubs, historic homes, B&B's, etc.
Host a martini bar or offer signature cocktails named for old hollywood landmarks, classic movies, etc.
Plan your music around the specific time period theme. Hire a jazz band, big band, barbershop quartet, do-wop group,, rockabilly group, all girl trio...
I'm wearing a white suit and pillbox hat as a "going away" outfit before we leave on our honeymoon.
Whew! That's all I have for now, but I'll be back!

Do you have any color combinations in mind???
Maybe this would help, starting with a vintage girlie feel....

I really like this combo... the colors remind me of the old world photos that you can get taken at a carnival and get in old fashion western drag.... ;)

Wow! Thanks for all those links! I'm stuck on the clothes ones...lol... must...move...on... cant stop looking...
There were some great idea to, started the old hamster wheel spinning, Ive been taking furious notes since I read the ides!
As for color, we were kind of thinking a sort of deep chocolate brown and maybe a red of sorts. Because whats a vintage gal without her ruby red lips! And I really love that cream color posted above... I may use that as well :D
Maybe I could do some sort of decoration or center piece or something using some like beige or cream antique lace?
These two pictures are what really spoke to me and sparked the whole Old Hollywood-esque wedding idea:

This pic is gorgeous! I love everything...her hair, her makeup, her jewelry... perfection! I'm hoping to somehow do fingerwaves is my long hair, but this pic is making me want to chop it all off and go short!

I like this.... it has the elements of ruby lips with the back to accenuate, silver like diamonds in platinum setting, and creme for antique!!!
