The invitations are finally done. Well almost, I am waiting on a stamp I ordered from vita print, for the back of the invitations. It says: Handmade with love by Danielle and Jonathan in the same script font I used on the invites. That’s not coming in for another week or so. I will update the thread when I have it and stamped the back of the invites. This all in all took about 4-5 months to make 85 and about $150 in paper, glue, raffia and other materials. Sorry I don't have the exact breakdown. Okay so here they are:

I haven’t ordered the envelopes yet but I plan to order the double envelopes. This will be the seal for the inner envelope.

This is way it will kind of look like - with a different envelope of course

Ok I will try to remember this as best I can
1. Brown recycled card stock - from http://www.paperandmore.com 100 pieces for 17.99 I believe.
2. White cover stock (the second layer) from staples 100 pieces for 5.99 or something close to that
3. Velum paper - Staples 100 pieces 9.99
4. Raffia ribbon - Michaels 5.99 for a big roll of it (didn't use the whole thing)
5. 1/8" paper puncher - Michaels 5.99
6. x-acto knife - already had this but the blades for 12 of them at staples was 7.99. You go through these fast cutting card stock.
7. Glue tape runner and tape - lost count how many I went through of these lets call this 15.00 for Michaels
8. Paper brads - Michaels 2.99 for 50
9. Bright white linen paper - http://www.paperandmore.com 100 piece for 9.99
10. decorative corner puncher -Michaels 9.99
I designed all of the elements using photoshop cs1 and indesign. The fonts are Zalphino (free on the OSX platform) and garamond.
For the Invitations:
I printed the background of Jon and I on the cover stock. And the wording on then velum. I printed everything 2 up. Cut out everything using the X-acto knife and a self healing mat. I punched the cover stock and velum together with the decorative corner puncher. Glued the cover stock to the card stock. With the glue tape (which work wonderful btw). Punched a hole in all three layers twice with the 1/8' puncher. Threaded the raffia ribbon through tied the bow.
Booklets:
Printed everything 4 up on white linen paper. Glued white paper to card stock. Waited until dry. Cut out using X-acto knife. Punched holes in all 3 inserts. Used paper brads to hold together.
Envelope seals:
Was really an after thought. I had so much left over paper I didn't want to waste it. I took left over card stock cut into 2 X 2" squares. Punched with decorative puncher. Covered the cover stock with left over raffia ribbon, held in place with double sided tape and glue. Then cut out 1 X 1" logos, and glue them on.

I would suggest doing a cover stock (67lb) if you can find it because it is easier to work with , less expensive and just as good. But regular card stock 110 lb is fine too. Just remember the heavier your invites are the more it will cost to send them. I can't wait to see how your turns out. I love the inspiration!

Thanks! I'm planning on doing the one with the straight edges, and I'm debating on eyelets vs. brads...:notsure:
