What is everybody doing for gifts for the BP??? I know a lot of weddings that I have been in or been to, they give jewerly. I was just in a wedding this past summer. The bride got us each a necklace. It's pretty, but it's gold, and I only wear silver. So I don't want to give jewerly. I already told my girls that I wasn't going to do that.

Right now I am pretty sure what I am going to give, but I wanted some opinions on it. I like to be different. My MOH told her mother one of my ideas, and she said "Well, that's Crystal for you, always thinking outside of the box." So I want to make sure I'm not totally out there, just different!!

My idea- I am going to get big laundry baskets at Michael's-the real baskets-not the cheapy plastic ones!!-something cute. Then I am going to fill them with stuff for the girls. Right now all that I have is a home spa for hands and feet . It has a heated foot spa, a paraffin bath, and a manicure set. They are made by Conair and retail for about $40 each. I found them at Target last week on clearance for $10 each. So I bought 5. One for each of my girls, and of course one for me. But I am looking for things to put in the baskets with them. I am planning on going to Bath and Body Works in June for their next Semi-Annual Sale to buy some products to put in the baskets.

What do you think?? Is there anything else that I could put in the baskets??

I thnk that is an awesome idea! I really like it. As for more things to put in the basket along with the spa theme. What about a big fluffy towel or a jogging suit. Of maybe even a pair of slippers? Just ideas

I think that is a really nice idea. How about adding a nice book or relaxing cd and a pretty mug and box of tea to add to the spa experience for them.

I think ALL of your ideas are great. I would love to receive one of those gidt baskets!!! And everything that you have mentioned is all practical items that they can use. I agree with Lacey about a CD, mug, tea, specialty coffee. Maybe you can put some nail polish, mail file, remover etc. or, make up, or face cleanser. Those are just a few ideas.
Sounds great so far!!!:p

That is an AWSOME idea!!!! I would never have thought of it!
You can also check around for the Christmas gift sets, with lotion and stuff. Some place still have those but marked WAY down. You can take them out of the Christmasy packaging and put them in the baskets!

The baskets sound like a GREAT idea! I would definitely look for some big cozy towels...and try to pick a different color, so each basket is unique for each girl. Loofas would be a great idea too! What about bathroom mirrors? If you can find them for cheap.

I'm giving each of my girls a box with some items in it. I'm going to make the boxes so that they're keepsakes in and of themselves. And each one will be unique to each of the girls. I've picked up some picture frames for them and I'm going to make sure that each has a disposable camera so that they can take pics at our girlie party the night before the wedding (we're handing them out at the rehearsal dinner). I'll be including the lotion I want them to wear at the ceremony (it's a shimmer lotion that is unlike any other shimmer lotion I've ever seen!) candles and some trial size spoil yourself stuff.

I was thinking of somethign similar, but with a handbag... fill it with lots of goodies. I love the laundry basket, but a couple of my BM's still live with parents...

Every girl needs some candles something I did was bought small pillar candles with a metal candel ring on it stating on the heart thanks for sharing in our day with me and brians name and date on it was only around $6.00 a piece. And I got 4 of them. here's a pic of what i'm talking about but mine has a diff. saying on it. http://i82.photobucket.com/albums/j247/cherubfaces/candlering.jpg

I got to thinking about my BM gifts and I still don't know if this is what I'm going to do, but it's quite similiar to yours. Since my wedding has a beachy theme to it, I was going to get each of the girls a "beach bag" with their names to personalize it, and fill it up with lots of summer/beachy/pool things. Such as towels, suntan lotion, books, lil floaties and things like that. Since it's the end of summer, I should be able to get a bunch of things on sale for really cheap!!!!
